That's a bit extreme isn't it? Why didnt they invest in these players at the start of the year then they wouldn't have to be going to such lengths?!
You should knock them off anyway Quichey. Is the game being played at Houghton?

Yup, it's at Houghton.

It seems a bit extreme (and I could just be having smoke blown up my arse  ), but these are desperate times. Still won't hurt to video the game just in case they play blokes under wrong names.

Sorry but you need to earn respect of outsiders not lose it. On a positive side when BL came to WC for the trial game there was no dramas no fighting and nothing sinister anywhere and i thought the day was a success.

I've seen you mention this before but I cannot remember it at all, I'm gathering you have no idea who it was? I thought the BL and WC trial was a success and our first encounter at BL was played the right way, however... I did see some disgraceful acts when we played at WC. Half forward flanker I think it was.....

Funny!

I think the lodge may be doing something similar....

Watch this space.

Playing unregistered players?

NO! But bringing back alot of players that havent played this year but are very, very servicable.

I wouldnt worry too much - just beat Glenunga.

we are far from perfect but we have codes of discipline and if players cross them they are out the door..we will not tolerate thuggery, abuse of umpires or team mates etc

last year my mate who is a team of the century player at kenilworth was given a steel plate in his forehead curtesy of a brahma lodge player..he never played the game again thanks to that..the idiot got 8 games..sorry but you wont get any sympathy from me browny..im sure you are not all like that but that is how i remember playing brahma lodge..if you want to change the perception then change the culture and get rid of the players who are repeat offenders

you could be right quichey..one thing glenunga do have is lots of cash curtesy of generous supporters, they can afford to fly them in..why would you bring them back to play a top team?..if they were going to do it this is the week to do it..the crunch games..the games that decide who gets relegated..they may be registered from last year..i know our club registers a lot of players who dont even play during the year..just in case they want a run in the second half of the year

Hard to say, they've all played some good and bad games of late. CLG were very efficient and well structured when they played us on Saturday, and they still had a couple of good players missing. With the rest and a home game they would have to be favourite to play the GF. Home games will be very important for the others. If Heccies get it together they'll play it, otherwise WOS.

I am pretty sure I'm not like that!

I cant defend everyone's actions but I can be proud of the club i'm playing for and there are plenty of good blokes out there. It would be a pretty big ask to change the perception of others, even if we were to change the culture, you would always look down upon your ivory towers!

Every is entitled to there opinion but how can you seriously defend some of them?......

I said SOME BL players are dirty not all and I thought the B grade were worse the A's but sorry some of your blokes don't play footy just out there for a fight! If that offends you sorry but too bad it's the truth!

#24 in the B Grade 1st time we met he was out just to pick fights, pick fights, pick fights then got sent off and smashed in our coaches box.... Then when the game finished and he was going to punch out the umpire????? Yeh great guy????? 2nd time we met he was trying to fight before the 1st bounce! What was he trying to achieve, did he want to prove he was a big tough guy? Trying to punch out 18 - 20 year olds. I guess lucky for our boys he had to catch them 1st and that was something he wasn't going to be able to do seems fitness was not his strong point!

Anyway I didn't say all BL boys were like this my hubby knows a couple of your boys and they are great guys, just don't know why a club hasn't disciplined a couple of these guys and told them to either play footy or find other clubs.

If guys want to fight take up boxing!

Most clubs I have seen that have a name for dirty / rough / dangerous play usually live up to there name and IMO if a club doesn't like the flack it gets then do something about these players.

You are only mentioning one individual? Do you have any others? Let me guess, #10 from the A grade??!!

I can only comment really on the A grade and I dont think we have been as bad as what some others like the label us.

Unfortunatly when your B grade has to forfeit due to lack of numbers then I dont think the club is in any position to tell some that they can't play!

Im not trying to bag your whole side just saying what i saw both times we played you guys. and there was more then 1 its just #24 stood out as he made no attempt to hide the fact he was an idiot!

As for #10 i have been asked and heard of him to be a bit rough but when we played you guys he didnt stand out to me as a thug. The 2nd time we played, down at your ground was #10 playing B's cause my hubby said there was a #10 in the B Grade but he didnt think he was a thug, he said he was actually one of the best players on the day in the B's!

Sorry just my opinion but i would rather not play then be embarrassed by some of these players they are a disgrace to your club and not an asset. What does your club achieve by playing these players? does it impress you as a club and make you guys feel good to see these idiots seriously hurt some people? I just hope you guys dont have to stand on that ground when one of these guys goes go to far and accidently kills someone cause they have no intension to play football they are just out there to hurt players and that is totally wrong! Why would your coaches put the guys on the field week after week?? IMO to try and scare sides, how about trying to scare them with skill? It only takes those few idiots in a side and a club willing to allow that behaviour to continue to get a name for themselves and when you live upto that name week after week of course people are going to talk about it! I doubt you will attract any decent players to your club by continuing to play these type of players.

I realise it isnt just BL that do this, and that there are others side that do it aswell i just dont get why? and im a girl so i guess i never will!

Not discussing this topic anymore it gets me to fired up!

Brahma Lodge A Grade were fine both times we played them, they play a tough brand of footy though. Yes, #10 Heinjus is a mouthy little squirt, but harmless. The problem I had with BL was when we played at their ground and a group of kids attempted to pilfer our players' bags from the changerooms. Also, there were kids and dogs running onto the oval all day long, lucky they didn't get poleaxed.

Can't agree with you there Browny, yes, it takes time to regain respect from rival clubs and takes very little for all of the hard worrk to go out the window. Whilst Zedman is up there looking down on us from his ivory tower, he has personally praised my club for the way we have turned things around this year.

It's never easy to tell your mates to wind their necks in when they are doing the wrong thing, when they start sitting on the pine a fair bit or not getting selected, they will start to do the right thing. Everybody has bad apples, it's how the club deals with them that makes the difference with the culture of the club.
