The 'players taking votes thing' is an interesting one. Guys like Hoklas, Scudds, Boxer, Seaton will all take some. Before we even mention McCarthy and Ravlich. On the other hand the same thing could have been said last year but Toddy Shepphard got the medal in Div 6. 2nd in the B&F. Jimmy Bartel and Ablett Jnr as well as Judd, Cuz and Kerr are also prime examples of blokes who were apparently meant to have to much competiton but still polled well.
Reading umpires votes is nearly impossible. Last year we the guys who finished 5 and 6 in our B&F, both having multiple BOG games but didnt get a single association vote. Boxer came 7-8 in the B&F but was our second highest association vote winner, even beating Brown, the B&F winner. Work that out![]()

Looking at the other clubs....ill say Platten, Forth, Mount (as he is a perennial vote winner) and Hudson (the onballer) as another smokey from greenacres![]()
Smith and Greenshields should poll well also.

Scudds would've polled 6 votes against us, he kicked another couple bags aswell against other teams.

Will poll very well in the B&F but again, so many other name to take into account.
He has probably been our most consistent player across the games he has played.
Has missed 4-5 with work as well.
Maybe scudds and forth should be odds on favourites considering the amount of goals they have kicked. We all know that stands out to umpires.
