Will the Eagles be wearing black shorts & the socks they wore at the time?
When the Western Bulldogs wore a throwback guernsey to celebrate their
1954 premiership two years ago, they still wore the new socks and not
the ones they wore in 1954. It looked totally inappropriate.
Secondly, will they wear the Woodville guernsey with the stripes on the back
or the plain gold back?

Hooped or plain green socks?
Black or white shorts?

66 - The Eagles are wearing the first (pre-stripes) Woodville Jumper.

unfortunatly, when you have got 3 umpires with 3 different (but all within the rules) interpretations, consitency often suffers. I think the league should have a good look at all of the umpires "style" and try as best they can to match 3 umpires that give simillar interpretations of the rules together, there still may be inconsitancies from week to week (that happened with 1 & 2 umpires anyway), but at least the descision making should be consistant throughout one game though.

The only decision I saw today that I though was a shocker was when an Glenelg player took a mark at about 1/2 fwd grand stand side, lifted his arm and took a Eagles player high with the elbow. He stopped the player with the ball playing on, and most of us were sure he was going to turn the ball over with a free, after he checked the player was ok, he let the game restart, and the original mark stood.
To me if the mark was to stand, play on should have been allowed, the only reason play should have been stopped is to pay a free against the player that took the mark then infringed. IMHO the later would have been the correct decision.
The rest of the game I thought the umpiring was good.

While on the subject of umpiring.

late in the first 1/4 I was in front of the stands.

Eagles supporter: "Williams you fu#king cheat" (Richard Williams was at the Southern end, no where near where the decisiion was made)

Me: "He's down the other end, can you name any other umpires in the league"

Eagles supporter: .......silence
