For those unaware I shink pics up to 7X to make them easier to load on here for people with dialup (400 pixels wide here or about .7 megapixel where they're originally 2560 pixels wide or 5 megapixels) so if anyone ever wants a particular pic blown up either on here or by email let me know.

Eagles uniforms don't look bad at all.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Yes, on second thoughts, it did look ok, I guess the main grumble point was the Hills logo on it.

We should organise a "pool" of husbands for days like today, my team wasn't playing so I should have been able to substitute for you at home while you got to watch the footy, I'm sure the women wouldn't notice.

That electronic scoreboard was incredibly difficult to read and frustrating as it only displayed the score about a quarter of the time. The rest of the time it kept welcoming us to Thebarton Oval and displaying other irrelevent messages...
Plus the time clock was literally impossible to read when the sun was shining on it later in the game.

Still a few things to get right before Thebarton is up to scratch as a League venue.

Most certainly agree. The only way I kept up with the score was by memory and the announcer.

Actually, I've thought of something. When was the first time a time clock for the match appeared at a ground? I doubt if anyone knows, but it would be another useful/useless fact to know.

Wedgie great Pics once again well done .The crowd yesterday what they announced seemed less than what was actually there ! The jumper looked great BUT it was a bit of clash with the bays at times .Will be interesting to see the old woodville jumper at the next heritage round.
While Spell Check asks about the clock I would like to ask (and I should know  )what West Torrens wore before the EAGLE I know what we wore after as I was present for those jumpers.

While on the ground it was nice to find out the name of the grandstands yesterday all the years I went to thebarton as a lad and never knew the names .But my only concern the older grand stand the chipboard floor needs to be looked at I almost went through once section up the back.

Like Ecky I got very annoyed with the score board continuely flashing over all the time while trying to get the score off of it, which was more and likely wrong anyway. If they need a electronic score board to welcome people to Thebby Oval do it during the Ressies then keep it on the scores for the League game, it was very annoying!!!
Also time clock needs to be in shade and also probally a least a metre off ground so people can see it.

Good photos Wedgie!!

I think it was the sash Mickyj, that's according to the match photos in the Bob Hank book and also to the poster I have of all the winning premiership teams' guernseys.

What was the official crowd ? (couldn't find that in the Sunday Fail either)
I thought the crowd was dissapointing, my estimate, no more than 2500. There was not many in the outer or southern end, and even in front of the stands and at the northern end there was a lot less than 2 weeks ago.

It came out of the Sunday Mail, and its titled "The Legends - Premiership Teams 1877-2004" It has the captain and coach of each team, along with the guernsey worn. It is A2 sized, so its hard to scan and put on here, but I'll take a photo of it, and hopefully it will come up on here. If not, I'll send it to someone so they can put it up.
