We actually lost a few players from the team we had last week against SMOSH. There are lots of stories about how many more we may be getting back over the next few weeks, but in my experience the rumours tend to be a long way from the truth. We should still have at least 2 blokes back in next week and are looking forward to the challenge against Paralowie. Good to see the Paralowie boys out there having a look and getting a bit vocal as well, our Barnesy certainly enjoyed the banter in the last 1/4. Has Yalumba Reserve been finished and ready to host a final or should we expect a neutral ground again? Who was the poor bloke who got in a bit of trouble in his ute behind the goals after the match?

Your boys were well behaved, having a bit of fun. Being 14 goals up enabled our lads to enjoy it a bit more than the Athelstone lads would have.
One of your blokes looked to get a bit bogged in some mud on the hill behind the goals after the game. had a few blokes trying to push him free and he got out eventually.

The lad behind the goals was Big Ryan Secker. Not sure what happened to his ute though.

Riddler, the B's were just outplayed. In finals you've gotta lift the work rate to get through. A couple of exceptions were Hendo and our coach Dave Wags. For Dave to kick 5 out of 6 after not training or playing for 8-10 weeks was a good effort. Hendos 1st half was good but didnt have many lads around him helping out. Our 2nd half was hard to watch from the sidelines.

It was great of all the lads including our coach to get to Kilburn to watch Henley and Athelstone, all of us will be supporting the A's from here on in.

No! Roos have too many options, Mitchell Park easily shutdown between half back & half forward which starves Bates of opportunities.

No! Mitchell Park a bit overrated and a bit old.

Interesting to see Henley flog The Raggies is history repeating itself yet again with The Sharks C's getting players back into it come finals time? Paralowie should still win it but this may be closer than we all think

Anyone know if it's true all of Angle Vale's players from Smithfield this year are leaving and heading back there? If so I'm hearing they could be gone after only 1 year.

In other Div 7 news St Paul's will be searching for new A and B grade coaches in 09 after the current ones handing in their resignations last week.
