Interesting post/rumour on ex Ironbank coach D.X. linking him with Maccy. Would that be based on his connection with former Premiership Team Mate at Marion, Craig Lallard. The Exelby bros, Sodomka and Lallard were coached by resigning Nairne coach Mick Duncan at Marion in it's last Premiership back in 2001. With Lallard and other ex Marion blokes at Maccy, they could do worse than pick up D.X. as coach.

Hope Gums and Callington manage to stick it out in Country Div, despite all the doom and gloom posted on this site.

A good win by Torrens Valley yesterday, giving them wins over Kangarilla and Kersbrook in the last two weeks.
Should be a great finls series

The Cheque Book Valley are starting to hit their straps again at the right time of the season

Cougar surely its time to let the cheque book comments go. I dont see every comment about Kerbrook being prefaced by comments about your sterling junior football program.

Well we can talk junior football programs if you like. Just looking at the Courier Cup photo, there are 11 ex Kersbrook Juniors in that A grade bunch. Tell me PP Lions......How many in TV's current batch?? And yes while we haven't had juniors for the past 2 seasons, we didn't go a whole decade without them!

For future reference should I call them the GH Lions?

The Deez will be dissapointed for the 2nd year running with 5th place after recruiting heavily. The Rams however face a big challenge in knocking off Kangarilla for what would be the 1st time??

when its finals time who cares how many time you have beaten a team its a different ball game as the rams showed yesterday... i do remember echunga beating kangys during the year, and the rams are just finding some good form with Twomey and J.Foster unstoppable up forward. Bring on Kangys!!

Nairne were very good and most likely out positioned Echunga. With a Tall Strong forward line and a small back line that played tall and ran the ball out with ease. Were a very different team then what we have seen throughout the year. If they put another 4 quarter effort together like they did against Echunga I cannot see how Kangy are going to beat them. But I think it will be a Torrens Valley Vs Kersbrook Grand Final which should be a ripper at Echunga, now they are out...

Good game of A grade footy on the weekend at Maccy between Torrens Valley and Kangarilla with Kangy being in front for most of the day but TV grinding them down for the win.
Felt that not enough attention was paid by Kangy to James Sitters and IMHO someone like the coach's son Jaimen Stringer needed to be sacrificied to try and nullify him. He's the sort of player who doesn't need many possesions to do damage.
If Saturday is anything to go by, the clubs that are hosting the rest of the final's series had better be prepared for plenty of BYO grog coming into the grounds. A shame that one lot of Torrens Valley supporters had to get all smart when they were told they can't do it and no they weren't young people.

I'm guessing Echunga won't be getting the GF since they've got the 1st Semi on Sunday.

2nd Semi to be played at Gum on Saturday.

Which Hills Country Oval is likely to host the Country Div GF? Mt.Pleasant having already hosted one, with TV likely to be in it, and Echunga being used this weekend.

Echunga has had 2 Finals games before, and being the only oval that can really hold a grand final with numbers, facilities and security, why not have the Grand Final There...

I suppose it would depend if the HFL would be willing to give it to Cally if they are thinking/trying to leave the league.

Maybe it might go to Mt Pleasant or Kangarilla if either of them don't make the GF.

Agreed Calllington probably won't get a Final this year, due to their insecurity for next season.

Meadows Oval hasn't been mentioned yet....surely NOT a chance of hosting the GF?

For mine.....

Kers V TV @ Echunga
Kers V Kang @ Mt.P
Kers V N/B @ Mt.P

If Kers aren't in it, then I'd say at Echunga.
