westcoastpanther wrote:Has the League done program changes for this week or is it as the following taken from the PLFL site

Round: 7
Saturday, June 24th Tasman vs Mallee Park (Mallee Park)
Saturday, June 24th Marble Range vs Boston (Ravendale)
Saturday, June 24th Wayback vs Lincoln South (Poole)

Appears the B grade is turning out a close comp this year, ladder after Saturdays games

Waybacks 10 59.07%
Tasmans 8 57.64%
Rangers 6 63.50%
Souths 6 52.63%
Peckers 6 51.07%

Any report on your game Bish? We had a very strong side on Saturday with some young, speedy on ballers that always helps.

thanks for the ladder wcp!! Im still dumfounded as to why we cant get a ladder in the PLT ??

We had approx. 7 changes to our side that played the last game against Tasmans due to injuries in the A Grade. I think Mallees started with 18 but by the time the final whistle went they had 15-16. We were ordinary early and they were too smart for us but we finished over the top of them in the last quarter due to superior fitness. We were lucky to win but kept at it, and were pretty happy when the siren went. Very competitive for spots in the ressies at the moment at WFC.
Jack didnt play for them which helped our cause as he is usually worth 2-3 goal.
How did your game unfold wcp??
No beers for sale at MPFC on the weekend..? what was going on??

As I alluded too earlier we had some young midfielders like Josh Mitchell, Phil Hargans & Adrian Pobke who ran all day conitunally winning at the stoppages. A tall forward line with myself, Jarrod and Ky Richardson on the end of the midfields hard work made it hard for their defence. Was one of the best B grade sides we've had on the park for several years and it would have won last years GF quite comfortably in my opinion. Tasmans were a little undermanned I think but was good for us to get on a bit of a roll with the Tigers up this week!!

The clash at Wangary in 2 weeks is looming and should be promoted as a 'blockbuster'. Perhaps the A Grade should play the early game?...!

Charman got slaughtered in Adelaide as you would expect. It has been confirmed Bob Clayton knows nothing.
Tasmans need to lighten up a little, they can't take the stirring.
Tom George shouldnt drink. He found Dorothy late on sat night
Tumby should do a lot better than they currently do with the personel at thier disposal, no doubt they will finish second but they under achieve. When will coach Horgan give up and leave players from down here alone. dalton and dom are continually harassed along with others...... June 30 aint far away Richard!
latest gossip is that the PLFL have rang wedgie about shutting this site down due to people continually putting football down. Bringing a bad name to the game and league.

What a fantastic advertisement it would be for democracy if this forum was shut down. There is no way this does any harm for PLFL. If anything, the exposure it gets is positive.
Those worried about shutting this down should worry moreso about their backyard, not what we're saying. Or do we have the power...?

Tips, I've got a question & i reckon you're man to answer it!! You might know of the top of your head or at least be able to find out. What year was it that EU won the B-Grade flag to force them to enter an A-Grade side the following year? I'm considering a comeback to the playing arena next season not sure of the exact year i last played, other than that, cheers!!

spot on WCP, i went up in their second year of A grade which was 2001 so 1999 would be correct, EU still yet to win an A grade premiership in over 50 years of A grade footy....One of the reasons i always love playing up there as would be good to be a part of history....ramblers seem to be like a thorn in that history lesson though

Grub, his comments spot on, but not they way to go about putting any negative opinion forward. Save it for Banter, just like WCP.

We can't expect the place to be perfect straight away, it will take time to get right. Some improvements I would make would be to install a fence with advertising billboards around the outer. It needs to look like a footy ground, from the other side of the ground it's hard to see where the boundary actually is and feels a bit parklandsy. Terraced seating would also be good in front of the complex, people fighting for single chairs spread here and there looks a bit amatuer. Is certainly better than the old Ravendale that had no atmosphere what so ever and I'll give them the time they need to perfect it.

Interesting comments from TA in the paper. Entitled to his opinion and no scoreboard is a joke and why the hell we need a digital one with all the bells and whistles is beyond me. But a very sarcastic letter I thought.
WCP /Eski, Is it TA writing on behalf of Marble Range or is it all his own doing...
