ok my tips first final
BRIGHTON by 11 points close contest just think the form will get brighton over the line
M/VALE by 3 goals got a feeling the experience of this outfit might get them over the line they know what it is all about
REYNELLA by 10 + goals still think the flys are a big threat easy one this week then a team coming of a loss and big hitout
PORTIES by 6 goals to many options all over the ground for the roos mannion will kick a bag !!
my tips time will tell good luck lads !!

Here's my finals picks:

Cove by 8 points
Morphett Vale by 25 points (although I still think valley are going to come back and win the big one)
Reynella by 7 goals
Porties by 20 points
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

T express. You have Farrier listed at full back. Is that where he should be played ,in your opinion at Reynella. He hasnt played a lot there this year. He was more than serviceable in the league tem at half back flank

Porty's A grade will all be playing c grade trying to get them through probably.

Morphy parks are no chance. they are "knock ,knock, knocking on heavens door" one would say.

I disagree Lova, I'm with Axle and think the Twisties are some sort of chance against Porties most definately, especially if the Cockledivers are messing around trying to put players thru their C grade. I recall Morphies Magic saying they are expecting players back, and they have pulled some surprise results this season at full strength.

Stick to your comedy lines thanks CT, what a rediculous posting, "put players through their C grade", this comment alone shows how far off the mark you are,to even consider this scenario shows your level of intelligence when it comes to "serious" football matters,we at the OnkaStinky are very much looking forward to taking on the Roos and are even looking forward more to taking on the loser of the Emus/Vikings which we have performed well against this year,I'm tipping another Prelim appearance for the Divers and once we're there who knows what may happen.

Hey Diver hows about cheer up, and while your at it also give us an insight in to what your SFL team of the year would be?? And i mean for 2008, not 1997.

T express . There is no doubt Farrier has done a fantastic job this year with the ball coming down there more than usual. Has had some huge jobs this year and I cant argue with you with your selection of him in the side.

MatteeGs tips:

Brighton by a couple in a cracker.
Emus by 5 goal- reckon they are ready to pull out some finals know-how.
Falcons in a boilover. Sure to send the fans delirious. First time I will have supported against Ben Moore in a few years...
Porties just over the twisties. If the Cockles are already thinking about next week, the red and golds could get em!

Good luck everyone this week (except the flies :P )

Hmmm... I can't say who'd be my team of the year, mainly because I didn't see Cove or Brighton play at all this year, but from reading everyone else's there are a couple of players I'd be putting in the mix as well - Scott Hunt (Sharks) and Darren Banyer (Marion).

matte g I think the line betting on the FLies vs Flaggies would be a 41pt start to Flaggies. At least its not the 72pts there offering for the West coast eagles

Cove to get over the line in an absolute thriller
Morphett ---- they'll get serious for the Finals
Reynella --- sorry Mattee, but it's a matter of superior depth of class (love your positive thinking though)
Port --- but Roos won't be far away.

Postby Injured Phantom » Thu Aug 28, 2008 3:37 pm

I dont know why people are quick to say that Reynella will beat Flagstaff by plenty. With massive expectations on Reynella in this game, Flagstaff has absolutely nothing to loss. That alone makes them very dangerous! They have a few good runners, so I think they have the ability to throw a solid challenge to the Flies. I think Reynella will come out in front come the final siren, but I don't think it will be as one sided as some predict. If Reynella get off to a 'flyer' then the game could get ugly.

Similar scenario for Porties & Roo's I supose.

Its finals footy & its elimination stuff.... exciting times
