Were a very different team then what we have seen throughout the year. If they put another 4 quarter effort together like they did against Echunga I cannot see how Kangy are going to beat them. But I think it will be a Torrens Valley Vs Kersbrook Grand Final which should be a ripper at Echunga, now they are out...

I'm guessing Echunga won't be getting the GF since they've got the 1st Semi on Sunday.

2nd Semi to be played at Gum on Saturday.

Which Hills Country Oval is likely to host the Country Div GF? Mt.Pleasant having already hosted one, with TV likely to be in it, and Echunga being used this weekend.

Think Maccy will be in with a show as well.

Maccy should not be in with a show, lack of security, the HFL will want to get all the gate money they can and at maccy it is not very easy to stop people jumping the fence....plus the clubrooms and facilities are not quiet up to standard...

It would be good to hear other peoples' opinions on this one. There are several reasons why Cally could/should be able to build a competitive club:-
*The mining boom in the area will mean a big influx of families and males.
*Houses are under construction everywhere you look.
*Their major sponsor, Hillgrove, are supportive and generous.
*Major plans are underway with Mt Barker Council for an upgrade to the facilities at the oval and the ground itself is already first class.
*The community has embraced the club and will continue to do so as long as the Eagles remain in the HFL.

HOWEVER, the club will not survive in RMFL and will be worse than the Redlegs. The club needs a total overhaul at Committee level and some powerful input and action into recruiting. The Eagles have enormous potential, but hell, how long does one have to wait? The Club is in its' 14th year.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Given the need to rebuild in Div 6 it would be great to see a Toff back in the side, being the general at Centre Half Back and the young guys learning from him. Hopefully the fall out form the club can be gotten over for the betterment of the club into the future and have him back, great club man.

It would also be good to see Tamarappa back at the club, running out of the back lines, from full back or half back flank with that awesome kick of his. Yes I rate him highly as well, however as you said he will follow mitchell whereever he goes.

And it always good to see players back at their club that they have played their whole life at.

As for Mitchell, I cant see him back at the club, even in a playing role.

Whichever way, look forward to some good recruiting to bring the club back into the winners circle next year.

the rams are just *SHEEPILY* sneaking under the radar

my tips for this week are:

nairne v kangarilla (going for an upset...nairne by a goal in a tight hard running game the Rams are just pulling it together at the right time of the year)

TV v Kersbrook (kersbrook by 5 goals, need get payback on TV for stopping there undefeated season in the LAST ROUND!!!)

Hope they stay in the Hills League. Might be a bit far for a kick and a catch, but the Oval in July is a pleasant site. Reckon Hills Country Div, NOW, wouldn't be far off the RMFL in standard, but still reckon Callington would cop a few hidings in that comp unless they recruited heavily. And agreed that they might end up on the same path as the Murray Bridge Redlegs if they join River Murray. I'm hoping all current Country Div sides struggling at the moment (Cally, Gums, Maccy) can stick it out, as without them, the Hills Comp could become a Southern League and no one wants that.

Heard work commitments and living arrangements may keep Bawden from doing the job next season. Could be some vacant spots up for grabs in Hills Country.......Callington, Maccy, Gumeracha, Echunga, Nairne.....any others?

Would think only a SANFL gig will stop him from being at Kersbrook next season. He might have a crack at it, as he's 36 next year.

Cougar if Brett James was to leave, where do you think that would leave Kersbrook? Are they waiting on a desicion from him before considering a merge with Gummeracha?

Might want to get appointed before he starts bringing players with him. I would have thought Ironbank will laugh at that application before putting it in the bin. by the way, which league is the APFL?
