Have they finally got something right?

The Adelaide City Council have reeased their plans for the Victoria Park area, and looking through the draft plan, I think it seems to be quite impressive.

It might not be a bad plan if they got rid of the noisy, smelly, car racing component!

A nature walk and wetlands within 10 mins of the CBD .....

... oh and a kiosk to buy an ice cream

.... and don't forget the soccer pitch and room to fly kites

wow, very impressive use of CBD land sure to attract people in their 10's of 1000s

Geez, those local residents could take a short 15-20 min drive to the east and find plenty of room to get close to nature, walk the dog, fly a 100 kites. But, no, it has to be within walking distance of their house :?
In between signatures .....

Given that they aren't allowed to build anything of note on it, the proposal is 100 times better than the way it is used now, and the motorsport track not changing won't mean the death of the Clipsal 500, which the state governments proposal would have.
