Stu Bown would rate up there in best CHB this year, probably had his best year in a Norwood guernsey. He's rarely beaten.

Who has the worst hair in the SANFL? Who has been the best recruit and the competition's most improved player? Check out all the results in the Race to the Magarey end-of-season awards at http://southern-times-messenger.whereil ... rey-medal/
There is also the usual update of the Magarey race, with Norwood's James Gallagher and Eagles Mark McKenzie the big movers this week.

Yes, Bown is very good, a quiet achiever who just gets the job done without much fuss (at least that's my view from someone who only sees him now and again).

The reason I've been pushing Ferguson is that he's just been totally outstanding all year.

With another eye catching performance on the weekend, winning plenty of the football and kicking 4 goals...

Keep an eye on my smokey, Chad O'Sullivan from Centrals...

He might just suprise a few with how high he finishes up in the Magarey ???

Could be a chance BP. He's been ultra-consistent up forward - kicked a goal in all but one game this year.

Steven Summerton averages 25 disposals this season. Is a midfielder, stands out. Paying $31 and is terrific value IMO.

I think that one J Clayton will be taking most of Summertons votes.

It's a little odd, correct me if I'm wrong if someone else can see his name on the list!

consistency is not rewarded though- if the 4th best player in the comp is 4th best every week, he'll get 0 votes.

Thanks CK. I still think he will take too many votes away for summerton to win.

My money will be on McKenzie and Boyd as the dark horse from South Adelaide. He has won an U/17s and Reserves medal so has proven he is one to be noticed. Has had plenty off the ball all year and has been the Panthers b.o.g about 10 times and not too many other Panthers that will be stealing votes from him. Big question is, have South won enough games? I think he will poll between 20 and 23 votes, in a low scoring count that could just about be enough.

Jarrad might steal a few votes of McKenzie.
