Fora of this type do tend to be addictive.
You can gradually reach a point where you have to read all posts and reply to most, and then look for the replies to your replies.
I'm starting to use the "Cancel" button when I catch myself responding to something that really isn't that important, and I simply don't view some sections.
I'll break the habit a bit soon, as when I leave for the UK early next year I'll be without broadband for a while, and I don't use a phone for browsing.

I've said it before though, this forum has everything, every subject, everything you could possibly want to read or contribute to..... there really is no need to visit any others

i'd like to say i'm not an addict. take away 4/5ths of my posts from the quiz room i become just another normal poster.
my rapid growth has only come by the introduction of the quiz room. having started with a quiz here and there this room has snowballed to a level one didn't expect.

I meant to say I apply that criterion if it is something that may get me flack I don't want to bother with, though it also depends how mischievious I am feeling at the moment.

Some people complain this place is over moderated at times but we are strict in trying to keep people pleasant as it makes it a more enjoyable environment for people to come to, especially a lot of people who find it hard to 'break in' to other forums where there's cliques and rude people. I'd like to think this is a welcoming forum and Mum's feedback indicates it is and we're on the right track.
We keep the idiots out but hopefully it attracts the quality people and I think it does. :D
