Surely Schwarzer get the gig now. cringed everytime Kalac went near the ball this morning

might not need a replacement for Emmerton as Italy usually play with only the one up front go with a back three of Neil, Moore and Chipperfield this also frees up an attacker to hit the Azzuri hard, Bresciano perhaps?

Massive match fixing scandal in Italy involving nearly all the Azzuris players clubs. Has to be a bonus for us, they will have their minds on that. We need to have Swarzther back 4 sure.

Have to retract my earlier statements in a previous topic about Harry Kewell. He earnt his keep with on deft strike.

looking ahead even further, if we can get past Italy, we would have a very good chance in the Qtr Finals, playing the winner of 1st in G 2nd in H, which will end up being either, Ukraine, Switzerland, Korea and unlikely but maybe France.

Italy's defence is one hard nut to crack, only goal against them so far was an own goal.

I'm stoked we've made it this far, I've always had a soft spot for Italy (even grew a goatee in the 90s because of Baggio) despite having no Italian blood in me but I did spent a lot of time with the Italians when I followed Adelaide City from 1978 up to their demise from the NSL.

Go Australia BUT I'd be much happier losing to the Italians than the Croats or Japs.

Let's go all the way Aussies, ****!

i think half the Italian team has their minds on other things at the moment anyway, could really work in our favour.
