Ah yes, I saw that one - in the 2nd quarter, he missed one in the first. Only took him two games to get it.

After the game finished Joe led the players of the ground
towards the players race and as his team mates clapped
him off big Joe did a handstand a la Jason Akermanis.
On completion of the handstand he signalled to the crowd
the 2 finger goal umpires goal salute.

Thats 9 wins in a row over the legs now.
The last time the legs beat the eagles is when
it counted in the 2002 finals series.

Great character Joe keep up the great work and I'll catch
up with you for a punt at oval avenue mate.

lol  I heard a massive cheer as I was leaving and was wondering what that was all about. Think he would've had a pretty good night last night with a couple of weekends to recover now!

Great work by Joe, and fully deserved the reception he got from the crowd and his teammates! I was at the other end calling it for Pine Lodge (non-radio game) and he probably would have heard me calling it home from where he was :D (I kept hoping I would be able to be at the game where the duck was broken!). Loved the handstand and roll at the end, and the Eagles cheer squad enjoyed it as much as him.

We hope to have him on the show Sunday morning to see the footage once again and collect the prize pool!

Further to this - I can confirm Joe will be appearing on Sunday to collect the prize!

Daniel Wakelin has played 52 games without a goal, I think that is the next highest games, looking at the Budget.

The next Eagles players are Matthew Jackman and Sam Jacobs with 3 games without a goal. Ryan Potter has kicked 1 goal - his 5th game in Round 16 2002.

Finally Peds, Finally!

As for you Cooper.............., as the unfortunate individual sitting in front of you at the time of this momentous occasion my ears are still ringing from your screaming, luckily there is a roof on the grandstand at Norwood otheriwse you may have taken flight with that scarf waving. My life will be complete with a flag too but we will need an ambulance on standby for you if last night is anything to go by!!!
Trust the process.
