Great Preview MT79.
Yep i'll be there.
Had a Big day out there the other week $$$$ and sure this one will be no different, maybe better with it being on SKY which means BIG pools to bet into. :D
Should be a good atmosphere there as a group of local Footballers/Drunks discovered the other week what a great day out it is there and have vowed to return for the Cup. :drinkers: :partyman:

STRATH CUP FINAL!
Heard on track at trials that RUMBLE FIRE is no longer with us as he smashed a hock over the weekend and has been humanely put down.

mt79 = Fortune Teller :shock:

Unbelievable. Got to the track 2 mins b4 the 1st and WTF? NO BOOKIE. Vaughan Gray was running late (As Usual). AS they're being loaded into the boxes, VG arrives and almost runs 1/2 the crowd over driving thru the betting ring. :lol: Gets out and says EVENS corrine bale, Big value on the tote but too late to get on. CB bolts in and pays $2.80.

Word quickly spreads around that there's FREE Beer , Wine and soft drinks for 2 hours at the bar and the crowd seems to triple in size in no time. This was fair dinkum true :shock: FREE grog for 2 hours, Now thats doing something to get crowds back to the track.

Race 2 Despite mt79 saying that Alatea Bale was a RISK, it was massive OVERS on the tote and the stand out bet in the race and it didn't disappoint as it led all the way over the 319m much to the cheers of the on course tote pro punters. :D
And then as mt79 predicted in his preview, JJ goes to collect and gets told they havent got enough $$$$ to pay out and would have to take a cheque for part of the winnings. :prayer: mt79. This was also fair dinkum true. Unbelievable.
The rest of the meeting was a bonanza for the punters as the Faves just rolled in one after the other after that with VG the friendly bookie offering some nice odds compared to the tote about them and also as an added Bonus, paid out in CASH. :D

In summing up, it was a great Success for the Strath club in running their 1st Sky Channel covered meeting with a very good crowd in attendance with initiatives like FREE drinks and FREE admission.

NOW, if only the Tote could bring some more money with them next time, it would be Better.

Also a great preview by mt79 as most of his comments about all the runners were spot on.
