Wellington did look terrible.

So too did the crowd figures.

Especially considering this:

I rocked up with four other mates about five minutes before kick-off. A bloke walking in front of us says "oi, you blokes, have you got tickets yet?" Of course we say "no" and said bloke hands us over a wad of tickets. There would have been about 50 tickets in that lot.
We take our share and then hand them on to a kid. Who we presume did the same thing.
Someone from our group goes to get a beer and then hears this bloke in front saying "we might as well use the money we didn't spend on tickets properly eh?" and another fella behind him says "you got in for free too?". There were about 20 people in that beer line who got in for free.
WTF?

So he should be. No need for that in any sport. Good decision

No denying that. But those free tickets couldn't have been given out on the spur of the moment, surely.
Does this happen at other games? Particularly ones where the travelling supporter group is less?

DW, I've never seen free tickets handed out in all my time of BOTH City & United games.

Perhaps because I'm a member I just don't look, but I do know that schools get tickets etc
when they feel it will be a low turnout.

Interestingly, I have a family membership with my mate i.e 2 x Adults, 2 x Kids. The thing is we can enter
on any ticket as they don't have the denomination printed on them. SO theoretically you could purchase a family
membership, and then use the four tickets for ADULTS....

Good way to save some coin....

Next game you go to send me a PM and I'll meet ya for a beer !!

Don't think I'm rude Jabber, I'd intended to. But when the decision was made to go, had no time to get on line and let you know! So it at least passed my mind.

However, not sure if the drunken state I was in on Saturday night is the way I'd like to represent myself the first time I meet a fellow poster ;)

We are rubbish. Vidmar is far too defensive away from home and for some stupid reason decides to save two subs for the death... and thus wasted even more time.
