Great game of footy,Ovies down all day umpires against them but still fought on,3 Qrt time down by 20 points against a undeafeted side and came back to win was a fantastic victory.Great team effort Klompy finished on 98 goals but couldnt care kicked a goal to put ovies in front in the last few minutes and goes out with back to back flags,Heard Chris is giving it away as well after 3 in a row,Top effort OVIES only one way to answer the knockers and thats win PREMIERSHIPS coz winners are grinners and the rest can please themselfs.2008 YEAR OF THE CAT
Well done to all other premiership teams and clubs and enjoy the glory boys

PREMIERS 2008!!!!!!!!

walked the walk alright, thought Cooke's last qrt was 1st class really showed just how good he is and turned the game in Ovies favour.Hard to pick best after that all played a great team game, backline held the highest scoring team in c2 to just 7 goals in a gf.

According to Barry and Mark I was average. Im no star like you blokes but I thought I held my own.. What angle was Klompy's winner from. It looked tough from where I was.. It was an awesome day!!! UP YOU CATS!!

I was at the same ground and played the game before the Ovingham boys and seeing their supporters and watching them as they duked it out with Modbury, I must say 'Congratulations' on your win lads. After all the sh*t that you blokes have copped on here in recent weeks, I'm sure nothing feels better than that little heavy round thing swinging from your neck and having a few beers with your 'mates'. And that's what footy clubs are about after all. Credit to your supporters who stood out like mutts nuts in the pocket there and credit to you blokes for sticking it up the blokes willing to knock you.... Hope Valley weren't such a great place to be Satdee if you were wearing brown and yellow !!!

cheers Choccies, we were always gona be up against it but you're right, nothin feels better than havin a sip out of that premiership cup (even if it was only coke!!!) not many blokes are willing to get on here and say congrats, but they'd be the first ones to jump on and kick us while we were down had we lost!

our fans made a big difference on the weekend i can tell ya now! they had about 20 of those horns and they made more noise than all the modbury supporters put together... really gave us a boost, expecially in the last quarter.

next years a new year however and hopefully we can continue winning form into Div 7!!!

Hardly could call GG underdogs. Both teams were level pegging IMO GG minor premiers and Modbury finished 3rd and the hwaks won the right to go straight in the GF..... Any way our c and d grade will probably be only a few grades below GG A grade next year!!!!!

Yeh, you'd go well against the other c grade teams but I doubt you would even push the A Grade teams in that Div
