Nothing to do with having played Bostons twice?

nutter...those "cracks" have been there for years...doesn't bother good teams.

Toolbar - A Wayback Left Footer (x 2) having a go at a team mate is hardly a revelation.

Where have you been for the last 4 years?

No need respond to this on the forum. The left footers will resolve this with you on the field Saturday.

Massive cracks in 2004 that brought about the demise of BR at Waybacks, are you saying that wasn't a good side?

The only crack that effected our 2004 campaign was HW's fist to DR's jaw....your best side beat our best side on the day...thats all that matters.

battle of the rangers and redlegs will be very interesting,as it will give us an insight to who will be facing the peckers on grand final day.either one doesnt matter as they are both as arrogant as each other.the only thing worth watching at the gary this week is the piss weak supportors yelling abuse and then hiding behind the person in front of them

wouldn't happen at LS...no supporters to yell abuse at....

Speaking of LS supporters, congrats to Doug Glass for providing a score board at Saturdays game. Doug was time keeping and writing the qtr by qtr scores on the back of a empty carton which he placed up against the glass for all to see.....crowd was transfixed on the time box waiting for the score to go up...like waiting for the third umpire.

At the end of the game a large crowd gathered for the final score..and in a magnificent theatre, doug slowly raised the score card showing not a score but the words "GET F#CK$D"...was very funny.

Round 8 previews

Tasmans v Bostons (Ravendale) - Based on last weeks results one could think this was going to be a close one. This won't be the case however with Tasmans having too much strength in the midfield for an understocked Tiger outfit. MJ, Dodd & Stephens will provide enough forward entries for Tonkin and Ryan to get amongst the goals this week. Ryan kicked 11 last time and will be hoping for a repeat, he's hardly played/fired since!! Bilney, Lanzafame and our favourite, Augustus Stanthorpe (Farquahson) will battle manfully with some assistance from the youngsters like Paech & Dorward but it won't be nearly enough and they'll go down by 15-20 goals.

Mallee Park v Souths (Mallee Park) - Guess who's back in town!! Every year we wait and almost every year they provide. The running game must have returned to be able to kick 30 goals against what we thought was good opposition. With Barry up forward they have their target back and if the rumours are correct and Hooker and Tessman signed last week they will be a danger. Stamford Wanganeen and Goldsmith have lead the best players since their arrival and they obviously know how the games played. Souths will rely on the usual suspects, Crouch & Rynne in the middle with Bryant the standout target for Souths. Akehurst was good last week by all reports and a repeat performance will be required. If Mallee's are really back they'll win this one by 8-10 goals, surely last weeks 30 goal score was an aberration???

Marble Range v Waybacks (Wangary) - Clash of the round and possibly the year so far. The Dees have had their usual June injury woes and felt this by the loss to Mallee's. Getting back to full strength now although the injury to Slug Cunningham was very unlucky and I'll also assume Duncan Moore won't be back from the World Cup yet. He leaves a massive hole at CHB and this could be preyed upon by Matt Parker whose hands have gotten very sticky over the last few weeks. The midfield clash promises to be a beauty. Charman and Ackland v TK & Blight could brake even making the ground level clearances crucial. Troy Hull was brilliant in close last week as is Hayden Parker although I'm not certain his shoulder will be right this week. O'Brien will also have some time on the ball with Tokarski and Thomson. Their Wayback counterparts are equally as good with Matt Goodwin in MM form, no one clears the centre bounces as often as he does and he is an absolute work horse around the ground. Tom George has the Stewie Dew like boot that can really hurt opposition sides, lines are broken when he legs it and the pressure heaps up on the backline. Horgan has also proven himself and can not be underestimated and the dominator Romeo will always play well in these big games. Fitness will be building and he could be the game breaker. This game could be won up forward and with Watherston, Parker, Rynne and Murphy there, I think the Rangers could just edge out the Dees in what should be a fast and furious game.
