Has Kangy Signed a Coach for next season......they were trying to poach one certain coach from not too far away and offered a lot of money rumor has it. This coach was also approached by Nairne and offer a fair amount too...but told them where to go. Just wondering if there was any news on new coaches etc for next season????

TV are definitely not a 'One Man Band', as Slattery probably has hold of the No.1 Player at Lions land now. Carter however has been instrumental in getting Torrens Valley to 3 out of the last 4 Grand Finals. He is now on the wrong side of 30 and work will now hinder his efforts, but the former State Amateur and Pooraka B&F has clearly been GH's best buy.

Kersbrook played Hahndorf in a trial last season and won by over 10 goals. However Hahndorf have improved significantly from last year, but mind you Kersbrook have too. But agree that Kersbrook at Best in Central Div would certainly take care of Lobey, Birdwood and Bridgey, but would seriously struggle against the Loftys and Blackwoods. One thing that is for sure, the difference between the two divs is as close at it ever has been.

Mail Medalist Brad Pearce has enjoyed his celebrations this weekend like no other, and was even able to ring the owner of a construction company, to ask if he could Build him a Premiership in 2008.

Trial games don't mean a thing you never know who played or who didn't players get played out of position, coaches try new things. Kersbrook would not get within 15 goals of the top three teams in central. The only teams they would have beat this year would of been the bottom three bridgy, loby and birdwood.

I agree that kersbrook and TV's strongest teams would be lingering around the 5, somewhere around 5,6,7 or 8th in central. But i think the lack of depth would be the difference. look at central B's compared to country B grade. There is the big difference. Blackwood and lofty B grade teams would probably beat the bottom couple of country teams when they are full strength (which only happens finals time might i add). Torrens Valley would have hardly fielded there best side all season, and would get smashed during the year in central due to the lack of depth.

Nairne played Lobethal in a trial match at the start of the season and Nairne had 5 top tier A graders out and nairne won by 15 goals and we only just made the 5..???

That's given me a good laugh to start the day.

Hey ..sorce youve got the wrong mail again!!

Rams presidento did speak with the echunga coach but the $ were never mentioned.

Rams are keen to get the right coach...with the very talented kids coming thru the next coach would reap the rewards of some very good work done by Micky Dunks and the other coaches in the past 3 years.

I think the leagure should be like the amatuers and the top 2 teams from country go up to central div and the bottom 2 teams from central come down to country each year... would make the comps a lot more even...

The league has tried promoting teams but it seems that whenever a team comes up from country div they gett flogged e.g. Birdwood, Nairne a few years a go and kersbrook in the nineties.

I think it would b a good time to start doing it as both divs seem to be as close as they have been ever.. the top teams in country would be competitive anyways and it might give the lower teams in central a chance to rebuild.. Bridgey Lobethal etc. Bridgy and lobey wouldnt of even made the top 5 in country div this season

but surley kersbrook would have to get juniors organised before they moved up? i think this would be the only reason for not having a relegation system

i dont think not having an oval is a big issue; its a pain in th arse no matter what div you are in. TV are a perfect example of a club that should be keen to go up, with strong juniors and A's. plus they have the money to compete with the richer clubs in div 1

Isn't it all about premierships for TV and GH? Moving into Div 1 might cost him a bit more and would he get the same results?

I doubt that would satisfy his ego!

Razorback, Kersbrook will have an oval next season. Didn't have an oval in 97 too, and look what happened

Word has it, 3 out of the Top 5 team's coaches will be putting their hands up to go round again.

Did anyone see the 3/4 time talks given by the respective coaches on Saturday? One bloke was apparently pumping his fists and squashing coffee cups with his bare hands, while the other coach was a bit more controlled.

Club would be pretty desperate, if it would want me in it's ranks. Kersbrook tried Div 1 in 91-92 and had some success in 91 finishing 6th in a 12 team comp. However that appeared as close as we'd get, without paying players, and the club finished 9th in 92, before making the decision to drop back. Think getting the Juniors up for 2009 will Kersbrook's No.1 Priority at this stage.
