If Brad Hood's position in that side is in any doubt, Port need a rocket.

T Mills is a clown!

Felch and Andy should have had the boys use him for boxing practice through the year......

i take it you know brad well?
ithink brad is a great little player also but that side is fair and a couple that are not making the side are just about on par with him AND POSSIBLY have some better attributes

He is in the top 5 players in that side and no one shades him for courage. The first time Port beat Sturt a few weeks back there was hardly a goal Port kicked that he didn't have a hand in.

If Port want to stuff him around, I am sure Centrals will take him. That would be his preference anyway, given he is a Centrals supporter.

settle down smacey i think your getting a touch ahead of yourself,
there you say he is in the best 5 for that team, there were 5 players picked in the state side all first years like brad and he wasnt in it.
i know your a relly and all that but you must be a touch realistic about what you say. but im not disagreeing he is a good player, and the suggestion of going to centrals is rediculous as ports will not clear him

He was injured at the start of the year wasn't he? Bit hard to make the state side from the sidelines.

Being related has nothing to do with it, in fact in our family we rarely go easy on each other.

That's why I say Matthew is lazy with his footy.

wow thats a pretty harsh comment about matt  im sure you must have been the first person ever to say that to him

brad was injured for about 3-4 weeks, the state side gets selected over about a 4-6 month period so i dont think that is a factor.

i am one of brads biggest fans as a footballer but when you look at that 17s side there is some very good players missing out eg state 16s ruckman not getting a game and joel downing the one that plays the same possy as brad.

I obviously know nothing of the players who haven't played when I have watched, but if Brad isn't in that side this weekend then Port are dumb.

And Port don't need to clear him if he and Centrals both want the swap, junior clearances are automatic.

all juniors before they play there first game sign a contract saying something along the lines of being signed there till the age of 19, if the club doesnt think your much good for what ever they want and if another club is willing to pay the 6 grand then you are able to leave but if the other club are willing to pay and ports dont want to let you go there is nothing you can do about it aprt from just play local footy till then or tough it out playing and then leave when you are old enough

Yes, it is $6k but the club can do nothing to stop a player leaving. That's how Port got Roger Ward (although it was only $5k back then, but that didn't stop him quitting footy to take up lawn bowls by 18  ).

I am sure Brad will not be going anywhere. He is held in high regard at Port Adelaide. His forward line pressure has been fantastic since he came back into the team. His work ethic at training was questionable earlier on in the season, but he started working harder, and all of a sudden he started playing better footy.

If you want to fire him up, ask him where his ipod is.

Wardy was an absolute gun junior. Too bad his knees gave out and lawn bowling became sport of choice.
