It made the channel 10 news tonight - although they froze the action at the point of contact.

Salient points from the article are:
- they were apparently Central fans (though the lack of CDFC regalia suggests to me that they're finals bandwagonners)
- they will be prosecuted
- they've been barred from the Grand Final

Well that's just ridiculous, the situation was much less dangerous than the pitch invaders the week before who did it on mass and unless each and every one of them got the same punishment this guy should take his issue to the courts citing the previous week as a precedent.

At least people NOW know not to run onto the oval when We are playing! Gowser has had more impact than WESLOW ever has, or would! Maybe Gowser should work for WESLOW when He pulls* the pin!

Yeh, Dutchy what a massive shock! From memory Cornes has some sort of vested interest in Glenelg. Call me paranoid but I think he'd rather not see Schelly there in two weeks. At first he said it wasn't the tackle it was what happened afterwards, then he changed his mind to say it was the tackle not what happened afterwards. He sounded like a confused old man with an agenda. As for his offsider "dumber", he stated how he didn't like those kind of tackles then said he didn't see it. WTF! Didn't he watch the game on the weekend ? Wouldn't that be his job ? Or did he really see the tackle and like the three umpires in the vicinity and all the Glenelg players think there was nothing in it ? The Glenelg players didnt even moderately remonstrate with Schell and they were on the bloody spot! In fact one tried to lift Rudolph up. Either he didn't think Rudolph was out cold or he's pretty stupid. What happened, happens frequently. The difference was unfortunately for Rudolph he got knocked out. So get over it, next week you'll have something else to whinge about.

Well done to Centrals , they certainly now how to find an opponents weaknesses ( my Eagles know full well in that department ) . No prisoners are taken , nor should there be in finals . Tigerboss & his boys had better find some form & stop stewing in their juice over good old finals footy !

When tackles are laid (this is not a freudian slip) in the attacking area and the player goes to ground, players either try to hold the ball underneath the player to obtain a free kick (this was a lesser option as the ball was close to the boundary) or prior to the umpires whistle they would try to dislodge the ball from the player tackled to play on.
If Daniel Schell knew Rudolph was concussed he has a future in medicine if he can diagnose that quick.
BTW will Rudolph be okay for the pageant?

Dogs to good in finals. Roy Laird is a genius.

I am sure that Daniel Schell will send Rudolph a sympathy card.
