just heard a little whisper on the weekend that dallas wiles is thinking about coming out of retirement next season and wants to have a kick with portland although he is only talking about playing b or c but i think that all that know him would know he is still good enough to play in the A's

If he plays Bs for Portland he might end up playing against a couple of his old mates at Kilburn.

not sure if he ran the adelaide marathon but i no him and a mate are going over to queensland in a few weeks to run one there, could possibly take some kind of role as a fitness coach, dont take my word for it but it is possible to a father son combination playing together in the black teal and white

Why did Aaron play for Kilburn this year if he intends to play for Portland next year? He'd probably be playing ressies at the least anyway next year wouldn't he?

he didnt really know any one at portland last year and after drinking down there a few times this year he likes the club and what its about. about the resserves i can tell you he wont be playing resserves at port next year if he decides to play at a league club it will be at centrals.
but he is definatly good enough 2 play that standard of footy if not higher if he can can his groins right

i think 6-8 would be a good place
avoid relegation and the season hasnt been a failure
both will have a crack at making the finals
whether they can do it or not is a different story!!

I think any side going up has one important box to tick - dont go straight back down !!! Thats going to be our first priority, and hopefully we put things in place to make this happen. We are fully aware of the task ahead in 2009.

Staying up should be the first priority, that's a hard enough job in itself, but if you recruit well enough playing finals shouldn't ever be written off, as Para Hills showed this year when they got Hanson, Flynn and Page in and snuck into the five.

And with Waering back in the fold, Portland are probably top 5 certainties.

You'd want to have a crack at the finals wouldn't you? Para Hills did it and Salisbury weren't really that far off(fat midfielders).

Adelaide Luth and Fitzroy did a good job to stay up this year.
Adel Luth managed to beat teams below it regularly to avoid really being worried about relegation.
Going up - find it harder to compete with top teams, although should have beaten the premiers away!
