I must say one thing about this burger, I am amazed at all the people who have come out and had a go at HJ's for bringing it out. Irresponsible it was said. Well left me say this, let us all take responsibility for our own actions. If you want one go and get one and enjoy it, if you are against it then dont get one.

I can guess that 1 might have been enough strawbs and that yes two would've meant too much meat and cheese  .

It was ok to start with, got a bit gluggy towards the end, I think the triple stacker would be more enjoyable, filled me up though and more importantly, enabled me to consume a large amount of alcohol with not much effect.

I've seen this done with a CHEESEBURGER at a food additives thing that came to our school. It came with a guide about all the horrible chemicals put in foods and the health complications linked to it. the premade soups and pasta's like continental etc are apparently horribly chocked with chemical enhancers.

That burger is legitimately 12 years old, I've seen it done in the past. The fries don't go moldy either.

It is a worry - those preservatives may be irritants to living cells and push them towards becoming cancerous.

Went to HJ's to try one the other day and they have finished, really disappointed.

You can order burgers with extras at Maccas, have had a double-double quater pounder with cheese at about 3am once, 1 pound of beef. Cost about $12 for the burger alone.

Know of people ordering triple doubles, 6 patties or 1 and half pounds.

I had a big mac meal today as a snack between lunch and dinner. The whole time I was observing it and thinking about the image in that link.

Information from JAS's link on junk food:
(all values in grams except kilojoules and sodium=milligrams)
BIG MAC
Carbs 36.2 (sugar 5.8)
Fat 24.9 (saturated 10.1)
Kilojoules 2010
Sodium 800

WHOPPER
Carbs 41.6 (sugar 11.6)
Fat 39.3 (saturated 11.6)
Kilojoules 2740
Sodium 932

The most fattening SUBWAY sandwich I could find info on:
SPICY ITALIAN
Carbs 41 (sugar 4)
Fat 27 (saturated 11)
Kilojoules 2120
Sodium 1640

With the above 3 comparisons, it is the saturated fat and sugar that I am most concerned with, everything else is basically food that doesn't stress your body out too much. Saturated fats inflame and constrict arteries, damaging them, the body tries to fix the damage by sending LDL cholesterol to the affected areas, later sending macrophages to soak up the lingering LDL which are then devoured by foam cells, so named because they puff up like sponges and clog the flow of blood. In time the body calcifies the surfaces caused by foam cells to allow easier blood flow, in essence it hardens the arteries and makes it virtually impossible for the body to remove the gunk lurking below the layer of calcium.
The energy made available from saturated fats is very low grade and the body has a hell of a time converting it without causing damage. The impurities present become oxygen free radicals after the body has burnt up what's useful. These do damage to the very system (mitochondria) charged with converting the energy, making your body inefficient and lethargic.
The body must then replace the busted up furnace (mitochondria) using stem cells, their increased production also increases the likelihood of a cancer forming as the body is producing more cells, and hence has a greater chance of stuffing one of them up than it would if it didn't have to create new cells all the time.
The preservatives Psyber mentioned I am sure would play their part in screwing around the mitochondria, but I haven't read too much about them.
