A MAN found asleep in his car will appear before court after police found $300,000 in cash in his vehicle and more than $700,000 worth of amphetamines in his northern Sydney home.
Police spotted the drug-affected man asleep in his car outside a factory on Anella Avenue, Castle Hill, at 10.30am (AEST) yesterday.
Examining the 29-year-old's car, they found $300,000 in a briefcase, prompting officers to raid the factory and his Rouse Hill home.
Police say they found 4.6kg of amphetamines and a pill press at the house, estimating that the drugs had a street value of $736,000.
The man faces a number of charges, including possessing a commercial quantity of drugs, drugs supply and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
He has been refused bail to appear in Hornsby Local Court today.
