My and others were concerned about the fact that we are bringing in a side that admits that juniours will not be up and running for 2-4 years as they are conected to Sunday footy with south metro? and one of the strength's of our comp is to see kids playing on Sat morn in the 14/16/18 and then seniours that make a full day of footy for all and brings together familys who get involved for years to come.

Any reasons offered for their negative votes?

The twisties negatory is perhaps the most interesting. I can think of far more pro's (travel, hometown derby, higher % of city clubs voting at SFL exec committee, may improve attractiveness of league to other city clubs) than con's(possible increased competition between juniors - although I'm not sure how).

Shoe boy help me out here.Youre sayn that edwardstown will fill a's,b's and u-18's,but will not fill 14's and 16's at all next season,Why?What was the problem with edwardstown playing their 14's and 16's in the sfl sunday comp so it did not interfeare with college commitments.I think its great they are coming to our league but holy shyt we cant let these clubs dictate to us wots going on.

So make a change and affiliate them with the SFL as well??? From memory I do not recall the metro south being a strong league anyway. What is holding Edwardstown back from bringing their juniors over?

Means nothing, all clubs have to apply each season for Club affiliation and team nominations with whichever league they prefer. Only hiccup might be that the MSJFL might not want their other teams which I'm sure the SANFL would look rather harshly upon should that be the case.

This is all absolute bull shyt with the efc juniors.the bottom line is the sfl has every grade available to the efc,if they choose not too bring all grades with them then they should f#k off its as simple as that.

i believe msjfl dont allow for juniors to be in 2 comps..thats why..so if they want the low age bracket in msjfl then they have to have all of them in there..msjfl has no u/18s..they have u/17s

Im sorry mate maybe im just dumb.I do not understand why efc juniors need to be in 2 seperate comps.the sfl has all mini league grades on sunday morn(u8's-u12's),their u14's and u16's should play in the sfl sunday comp(with all college kids such as brighton)and their 18's on sat with seniors.

Edwardstown juniors and seniors are two separate organisations, which is why they can be affiliated with two different leagues.

I think MSJFL have one or two more grades than SFL?

MJSFL (http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page ... 3814-0-0-0)
Under 9's
Under 10's
Under 11's
Under 12's
Under 13's
Under 14's
Under 15's
Under 17's

versus
U/18
u/16
u/14
u/13
u/11 (?)
U/9

On a tangent, I know Edwardstown have posted a few d-grade sides over the years and I suspect a few SFL side may have had the numbers (Reynella, Brighton, M/Vale, Cove) in recent years. Has the SFL ever addressed this issue since the days of the Bombers filling four sides after their entry in the league?

Well i believe that if the efc dont get more involvement with each other(seniors and juniors as one)then the efc will come to an end sooner rather than later.
