As a supporter of the SFL, no true allegience to 1 particular club, your postings very repetitive, boring and find myself gaining a dislike to your club, atleast your mates Fly, AFL Flyer and EFC post some sense about your club. Over the last few pages i have deduced that you are an under performing current player that is partly responsible for your clubs lack of success, keep up the good work express, you are making many on here very satisfied.

It hurts me to say but i prefer to read The Dutchman's postings more than yours.

i have had a good year myself speccy kicked 23 goals in the c grade good effort coming from the bench!!

Brad Whyatt appointed senior coach of Aldinga for 2009 ... officially if the noticeboard outside the clubrooms is telling the truth.

What names are being thrown around at Morphett Vale & Reynella for coaching?

Any Best & Fairest winners? I know Reynella's was last night but not sure who took home the cookies (no cheap shots required boys)

Has it been confirmed that Dave evans is assistant coach at Edwardstown with Matty Golding leading the charge to a premiership in the SFL?

And has anyone heard anything about Fabian Francis coching Lonsdale?

Edwardstown will make the finals in their first year easy. In 18 rounds you need to win a minimum of 8 possibly 9 games to make the top 8 of 15 teams. Being the 'new kid on the block' and the SFL wanting to showcase the benefits they will play each bottom team twice eg

Hackham, Lonsdale, Aldinga for 6 wins.
Then they will need to beat Noarlunga, Flaggies, Christies or marion for 2 or 3 wins and they're in.

SFL is happy and can big note the success to lure more teams and EFC are vindicated in their move. The fact they are a current Div 2 amateur team they should realistically cream all the above and maybe a few higher teams.

Div 2 Amatures? and they didn't even play off in the GF.
I think you over rate them even with the League's arse kissing draw.
And were are those juniors?
It'll be Mitchel Park all over again.
Edwardstown full package or BUGGER OFF

Some of you may be older now and over it or older now with more disposable income and into more expensive habbits but you'd be lying to say your own club dosen't have it going on.
Hackham blew it cos they didn't have enough good people running the club to prevent them from making their mistakes. :weedman: had nothing to do with it.

Not just the alleged :weedman: but what about the pokies? I believe they were a massive part of the Hawks demise. When foooty clubs turn into "Community Clubs" bye bye $$$ that go towards the clubs.

Marion and Brighton are both part of community clubs and have won premierships in the last ten years. Marion have a full suite of poker machines that are open before the u/14's game starts each week.

Community clubs that have a football priority and football people in control of the money should do well ala Brighton, Reynella. + no pokies
But Marion have been struggling for years their Bs have always been crap and their A's rely on bought players. As for juniors not much happening there either.
Pokies haven't helped them at all to build their future.

I agree, EFC Bugger Off. SFL will bend over and accomadate them very well as there are some big fat ******* down there just right for S*******. No Juniors will only serve to damage our competition while EFC will have the best of both worlds.

If SFL and EFC are serious EFC will Play the top 6 twice and the bottom 6 once, but we will see.

A community club can't have football as a focus by definition; Brighton are just a very well run club, Marion are rebuilding their juniors they were disbanded several years ago (no volunteers).
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Esteban,
You are either very naive or living in a dream world.
Football/Community clubs benefit by having control of their bar takings, something Hackham lost and that contribution significantly to their demise.
And Marion I bet have to share theirs with the marching girls and soccer girls.
Marion are headed the way of the Hawks or should I say the do do.

Brendan is a very good chance to link up with ex-south team mate Kym Cobb, it was close to happening at both Edwardstown and Robe in recent years but with both guys getting older my mail is that Milo will trade his black & white for red & green...

Mate,

re-read the posts and perhaps you can reply top what is actually posted. Never said if community clubs are the way to go or not, but you can't ignore the fact that Brighton are a successful football club that is part of a community club.

Perhaps just a smidge outlandish to say the chicken twisties are headed to the bottom of the ladder.
