Gold Cup

Postby BluesBrother08 » Tue Oct 14, 2008 12:28 pm

Anyone heading to Murray Bridge for the Gold Cup tomorrow. Will be there, my tip for the cup is Bold Line or Road Worker. A few good horses running in the cup tomorrow. It is the richest country race is SA after the prize money offered became more than the Balaklava Cup last year.

Also look out for Allstar making her comeback from a spell in one of the earlier races.

Scrubby Creek at $21 is value

but i think The Gem at $6 and Keltah at $11 are worth e.w tickets

My Tips for Murray Bridge today....

RACE 1
8 and 11 at odds is a bit of value.
I think 4 will probably take it out though

Very hard race considering most haven't been seen much, so could be a good one if you can pick the right horse at odds.

RACE 2
I like number 3 Capri Lad here. And maybe number 4 Double Diesel but will be very short.

RACE 3
Number 2 Allstar makes a come back to racing after a spell and should be in the finish - but I like number 4 Taos Pleasure - has been running very well in fields much better than this.

RACE 4
Number 7 Frenzied Giggle - hasn't been running too well of late, but with Lindop back on board should run a good race. Also number 1 Omytone for those that aren't too keen on value

RACE 5
Number 1 Jeunalistic has back to back wins, but is up in class so not too sure, but I do like number 11 Go Lizzy (at $9 in the paper but will probably start shorter I think).

RACE 6
THE GOLD CUP.
A number of chances here - as already stated I like number 13 Scrubby Creek for some value.
Other chances are 1, 3 and 8.

RACE 7
Number 3 Gift of Knowledge - have been following this one for awhile - has saluted a number of times at double figure odds or close to. Don't expect those odds today but should be too good.

RACE 8
This is where you have a crack to top up your wallet at the end of the day, or it is the "get out of jail stakes,"

The favourite will be number 2 Sister Akhapacs which will be rather short.

For those going for value, number 5 Cold Sober I like here - should be $5 or $6.

RACE 6
THE GOLD CUP.
A number of chances here - as already stated I like number 13 Scrubby Creek for some value.
Other chances are 1, 3 and 8. No good here... :? May've got a place not sure

RACE 7
Number 3 Gift of Knowledge - have been following this one for awhile - has saluted a number of times at double figure odds or close to. Don't expect those odds today but should be too good.
Missed the jump and never in the race. Storms home for 5th :?

Cold Sober runs 4th, number 2 never in it.

Was an awesome day for racing, and for my wallet - ended the day up $500+
