I wouldnt be surprised if the Eagles pass up on Perrie or any other AFL player who needs a run while their SANFL club has the bye. Even though they are bottom they are the form team at the minute and might just want to give a youngster or two every possible opportunity.

I think Welsh would for sure if he can remain injury free from here on in ... Most probably Perrie would too, whilst Bock's chances would probably hinge on Stevens' form or health taking a dip for the worse

Look at the talls.McGregor-Nope.Hetschel-Nope.Stevens?-Nope,they wont want to send McGregor back so either Stevens or Bock(though I doubt Bock would be fit enough to make it back).I cant see any of them getting back into what us currently the strongest AFL unit.

They will make room for Perrie or Welsh by moving Roo back into the midifield - probably Welsh becuase its his role that Roo is playing at the moment. Maybe Bock for Stevens, he's certainly a better all-round player in my opinion but it just depends on how form holds up and injury I suppose.

I would imagine he would get a run at some stage even if for no other reason than to better his preparation should he be required throughout the finals series ... That said, the longer McGregor continues to be down a little the more he might have to look over his shoulder??

Yep, Stevens is gone so say Bock for Stevens, but realistically the Crows have Perrie, Hart, Hudson and Welsh in their best 22. Whilst it is nice having some depth at the Crows (at last) there will be some severe heartbreak come september for some players.

With the strict "non-negotiable's" that Neil Craig has in place there is no chance of Bock,Welsh or Hudson being up to speed for this years finals series.No chance.Bock the only only one with a sniff.The others will only be back in case of emergency.(As long as they are fit and in form in the SANFL)

Sploosh,I am not in a position that allows me to have any inside knowledge of these practices,what I am aware though is Craig and some senior players have mentioned these "non-negotiables" and have stated they must be followed.Ruccuito made mention of them in his return from his hamstring and that I believe is why he missed an extra game,even though he felt he was ready for a return.Craig made mention of this also when he said Ruccuito had not completed the work required and was therefore unavailabe for selection.

In The week leading up to a return from injury the player in question has to complete 2 game type runs, 1 is ironically named the "Riccuito run" and the other is the "Goodwin run". The first is based on running hard whilst being applied with physical pressure from tacklers/tackling bags etc, while the 2nd is an endurance run which they have to complete in a certain time to be deemed fit to play. They then have to complete the main training session at full pace etc.

Craigy has gone public in recent weeks by sayinf, if fit, Perrie, Bock and Welsh are in in his best 22

Over the past 18mths Craigy has shown his hand in playing three talls up forward when available..... Personally even given Steven's form in the past month I still have a real concern with his ability one on one in a contested marking contest, come finals he would be exposed to a gun forward in a big game..

Both Bock and Perrie's possible selection would give the crows added flexibility, obviously Bock can play back but Perrie up front could release McGregor down back if required and Welsh's selection could release the Roo in the midfield if required......

The additional value is that these boys have not seen much footy, so they will be fresh and hungry, with 8 weeks before finals they have plenty of time to get match fit, not to mention the pressure for spots will keep everyone honest

For me I cant see how the Crows have played all year they can fit in Welsh Bock and Perrie into Crows structure this year. especially with two other certainties for the line up to come back in Van Berlo and Hart.

I see Perrie for Stevens, Hart for Massie/Torney, Van Berlo for Doughty, Welsh for Skipworth-Ruccitio goes into the midfield line.

To bring in Bock a midsized defender/forward would have to be cut. To bring in Bock would reduce the run/endurance the Crows have demonstrated all year to be the key to their game plan, players behind the ball then quick precise passing to a hardworking forward up in the midfield option (McGregor or Hentschell), hand off to a running midfielder/defender Goodwin, McLoed/Reilly to a kick to a leading forward (Ruccitio) or a kick to a tall (Hentschell or Mcgregor or flying Burton) with crumbers around him (Bode primarily) to kick the goals.

Shirley and Van Berlo are the main run-with players.

So unless injuries crop up or they are playing a gainst a tall forward line someone out of Hentschell/Perrie/McGregor/Bock will miss out.

If he wants to play Bock as well the other talls someone out of Shirley, Van Berlo, Mattner, Bassett, Torney, Thompson, or Bode will miss out. IMO if one of those miss out it will compromise the Crows current winning structure by limiting their running ability and passing.

I can't see Reilly, Goodwin, Ruccitio, Johncock, Biglands, Maric/Clarke/Hudson, Rutten, McLoed, Burton or Edwards, getting dropped at the minute.

Interested who others think should get dropped.
