We're about to have to opposite problem...clocks go back an hour this weekend and the local news will be almost nothing but people complaining about how dark it is and how dangerous it is for kids walking home from school. A few more weeks and we'll be lucky to have more than about 5 or 6 hours of daylight per day :( I hate winter already.

So if you guys don't want that extra hour we'll have it and the moisture sucking sun that goes with it....pretty please

JAS

about as stupid and pointless as some wanker proposed today that the word Drought be replaced with the word dryness   This is in aid of assisting the farmers who suffer emotional distress from seeing the word drought.

Yes agreed the word 'drought' probably does cause some emotional distress amongst the tough as nails farmers but proposing to replace it is not going to change their emotional well being unless it fu*kin rains you twat

Oh my goodness...

I can't believe that that person actually put their name to the letter :o

I remember writting a little poem for The Adelaide Advertiser one time about Lleyton Hewitt... a 'poem' made up of 'positive'words using his name and I recieved a 2 page letter in the mail from someone telling me why Lleyton was everything the opposite to what I had written.

Someone had gone to the trouble of looking up my address, writting and posting me the letter.
Haven't written anything to the paper since.

So yeah... wonder what kind of letters this guy got

It wasn't C.C Munt of Novar Gardens(?), was it? I noticed that name quite a bit back when I used to glance at the opinion page.

Whoever sent me the greatly detailed letter about how 'horrible' Lleyton Hewitt was did not sign or put their name on the letter.

Have to say it did 'freak' me out at the time, that someone would go to so much trouble, hand write a 2 page letter directed at a simple 'poem' in the paper and go to the trouble of 'looking me up'.

Hate to think what kind of letter he would have sent someone who may have written something in on a more serious matter. :?
