span mowday might be another !!!, i think scd was saying why wouldn't you utilise a driver of better ability & JUDGEMENT & he used as he said d.hill as a 'for instance' as she didn't drive in the race, if it was at the gallops & d.oliver never had a ride i'm sure someone would put him on

No no no no
Im with all of youse
The drive was ahem
Yes the stewards can be held responsible
But if you allow drivers to getaway with ahem drives you can expect drivers to continue to drive ahem races

The point I will re-iterate is as a punter I know where I stand when FIZZY/GG are in a race
If you hold the lead expect the ramifications

mal, i understand where you are coming from (your saying he is driving consistently), however as centreman said you have to drive (or ride for that matter) to get the best possible placing & this is NOT HAPPENING in this case, sure he tried it last start & when it did not work, he this week should have tried something different because as we've seen it has some pace so why not try to sprint over the top this week & inform the stewards of a change of tactics which is passed onto the punters  ?

i wonder how many people all over australia & perhaps in some parts of the world saw this & thought 'well i wont bet there with COWBOYS like that as i want a FAIR RUN FOR MY MONEY'
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Bayman is on the right track. This would not be allowed to happen in any other PROFESSIONAL SPORT. Perform below expectations regularly and you suffer the consequencences. eg; Dropped to a lower grade, contract not renewed. Offend against the rules and you will be fined, suspended or even have your career ended. But not if you are a
Owner/ Trainer/DRIVER in Harness Racing because predominately you answer only to yourself ! This shouldnt be the case of course but for whatever reason The Stewards here in SA seem reluctant to take the appropriate measures to control the loose cannons in this area. ( Please realise that i am aware that there are many O/T/D who are excellent horseman and an exteremely valuable asset to Harness Racing) Imagine if the freelance drivers or those trianer/drivers who train for owners were to drive in the manner referred to earlier on a regular basis they would soon be replaced and or have their horses transferred to other stables. Just for the record the 3 TABs held 72k on the last at GD on Sat the horse in question went round at on average $133.50, which is really irrelevant except that the figures show tha some where there was $540 invested on FIZZ and EVEN those people deserve the expectation that horse be driven in a manner which allows it the best possible opportunity to win or finish in the best possible position. NOT BE GASPING FOR BREATH AND DROPPING OUT 600m FROM HOME FOR THE 2nd START IN A ROW.

I mentioned Danni Hill because she is clearly in the top 5 drivers in the state and didn't have a drive in the race.

Joey has made the point very clearly > the industry should punish continual offenders, by downgrading their licence...
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

What was GG thinking? he had a smile on his face as he came of the track. I know they need all the numbers they can get out there, but if they dont address these drives/drivers there wont be any punters willing to have a punt. That drive was worth six weeks on the bench.
