Sturt vs West

Postby Jimmy » Fri Jul 14, 2006 1:10 am

No doubt this games winner will move a step closer to avoiding the wooden spoon, but who will it be?

This week sturt lose some experience but add some youthful talent while westies regain some afl exp. I didnt get all the ins and outs but if someone here as the complete list, that would be great.

Who's gonna win?

My heart says Sturt but my head says ill be sweating like a virgin on prom night. :?

SQUIRE/WHITEMAN/JARJOURA are some of the outs for ST

JERICHO/WELSH in for WA and PETTIGREW out i think are some of the notable WA ins/outs.

Does anyone know if the Wark named in Sturt's side is related to ex Blues player David Wark, now the boss at Norwood. Possibly a son of Nigel Wark, Sturt player from the 1970's??

As a Port supporter, Paynter was the player (along with David Marshall) who i most admired from a rival club in the 80's and 90's. Great skills, scrupulously fair, i would have loved to see him play AFL footy.

From an AFL perspective, you'd have to think that young Seb would be a qualifier for the father and son rule?? Although given the way this rule operates..

Both are Crows.

Off hand its' Port, Central, Torrens, Woodville and North(?) for the Power.

I still can't believe the Power get anyone other than Port as a father/son. And the Crows shouldn't get anyone (unless an actual Crows player is eligible).
