Eeeeeeeeeeeeeek! Starting to get messy here guys. Better to do your personal stuff face to face I reckon.

I too am interested in who coaches Cally and Gums tho. Any info anyone?
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Another Year and another maccy talk up. I remember only 2 years ago, when the saviour, came to dig them out of their hole. lasted one year and then they were back in the same spot they have been for years. Yes they will improved..........BUT, so will every other top 5 team. Torrens Valley picking up big names, Kersbrook still to be strong as last year, Kangy going to be a strong outfit have money to chuck around now, Echunga picking up some decent Mt Lofty players and more to come we hear, Nairne will be around the mark again (even with the loss of Luke Murphy) and don't forget meadows who this year had a horrible year of Injuries. So talk them up as much as you want they will be a bottom 4 side. Maybe if and that is a BIG if, they can keep a side together for more than 3 years then they will be a top 5 side. Its only november.........talk is cheap.

kangarilla had better throw around a heap of cash with the amount of players rumoured to be leaving.

but they dont pay players at kangarilla hence the mass exit to karoonda

i heard they only offerd one of there star players paid subs/ boots $50 a game plus $30 if they win and couple of incentives like extra $ for mail medals, Club b/f or G/F BOG

hardly enough to lure Prize recruits when other clubs are offering $200-$800

predicting a tough year in 09 for the blues lucky to make the 5 (with rebuilding and promoting juniors Good Luck to the boys
hope they prove me wrong!

Some good posting on here of late :D Birdwood vs SJ, Gums still Coachless, Jackson first Kangarilla casualty to Karoonda?, and every team to improve bar Kangarilla!?!? Makes for a very interesting Hills Country Div in 2009.

Is that Chris Packham ex TTG to Maccy? Those Gully recruits to Maccy would be shorter than Brad Lees, and would run a hellava lot slower!

Have Kangarilla done the right thing reappointing Stringer? He has been there 3 years, when most country club coaches out do their use by date.

Very valid point there. Kangarilla are gonna be up a certain creek without a certain instrument if they don't fork out some money for a couple of big name players in their line up!

C'mon pal, that's not a nice thing to say about anyone. Why apologise after the event? At least he's got one!
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

My mail is, the new maccy coach has picked up some very, very handy players that will definitely help maccy be competitive/get rid of the spoon and win more than the 1 credited game they picked up in 08 !!!!!

Have you got some names for us Johno???

TTG have lost Roughton, Quinn and Patman to Maccy. All 3 are ex Gepps Cross boys, been at TTG for a few years. Probably will help in some way, no size in any of them but a bit of goal sense and not much common sense.

having no knowledge of the Hills Country Div., these 3 named players may be ok but to be truthful, as good players as they were[are ], they have probably played their best. if the N. Pech named in another post is the lad from Ang. he has got a bit of upside to him. that said all players named have a bit of quality about them and can only help lift the club.

Kangarilla have never paid players this is an honest fact, so even with players leaving to go elsewhere the club will still not pay new recruits. I really think its a shame that footy has turned this way but these days, to stay competitive in a competition money has to be forked out to new and exciting players to keep the league fair and interesting through out the season so we dont have teams getting belted by 40 goals etc.

Mate im not saying that people dont leave clubs for nothing but im saying to stay competitive in footy these days some clubs have no choice to spend abit of money on new and exciting players. And as for MD ive played with him before and hes proberly asking clubs for money! haha

A very naive post I would think?
