he is a glenelg (registered) player, so if he didn't (highly unlikely) make the power team he'd be lining up for glenelg

Couch parting ways with the Eagles is no big deal, he was one of the lads that you hope can take a giant step forward but deep down you dont think he can. Whilst he had a few injuries I can barely recall him being in the best players for the reserves during the season. He tried hard but is one of many and I believe the Eagles made the correct decision. I will like to see Ferrets comments regarding Couch as he is always very accurate in his analysis. As for him joining another SANFL club, most clubs have better and local juniors and I think he his best suited to head home.

Josh Carr was tied to the bays so I assume that is where he will go back to.
Norwood announced the signings of Keiran McGuiness and Gavin Hughes on our website on the 25th September. Other announcements will be made after the draft takes place.
A Norwood side with McGuinness and Zorzi down back looks so much more potent...let's hope for the Redlegs sake that McGuinness is in tip-top shape and ready to pick up where he left off...

R&B may have to concede that Ferguson is the 2nd best CHB in the league now...

Sure did. Picked up about 42 touches (stand corrected on the exact number) in his last game for the Bays vs. Port at Alberton...I remember this because on the way home from Alberton that day, I was 3rd car in line in a four-car prang... :(

Many people are suggesting that Carr will be firmly entrenched with the Power (if picked up in the PSD) and the Bays won't see him at all...

Ideal scenario for the Bays would be for the Power to do the dirty on Carr and overlook him in the PSD. Then Carr can come to the Bay, as he's coming to SA to live regardless of whether the Power pick him up or not, and wins a flag (or a bridesmaid dress) with the Tigers...

IF the power picked him up i would think he would play most games. I can't see them picking him up to fill a spot on the list, i think they would rather do that with a kid from the national draft.

Sunday Mail's Ben, Bec & Buzz wrote:Johns On Parade

DELISTED ESSENDON player Courtney Johns appears destined for the SANFL next season.
He has met with several clubs, but our mail is on Norwood landing the signature of the 194cm forward.
If he does head to the Parade, he'll join Kieran McGuinness and Gavin Hughes, who will both return to the club in 2009.
Johns played 21 games with Bombers

I can bury this rumour categorically. Norwood is not chasing Johns.

He did do some good things Jackal .BUThe was injury prone .I really think the biggest thing about him was he was a receiver. And he looked good running with the ball handed to him .
And if he did go to the Bay I think he would struggle to make their two's.

But does this seem to you like WWT are having some sort of clean out ?

I stand by my thoughts on Schwarze he could not kick a bag against Gelnelg or Port. And if reports of his attitude are correct then we at oval ave don't need him .Let alone what he reportedly did at the B&F.

i hope we are chasing another Ruckman I have been given a name that may wish to leave the VFL (HINT TO Footy club contact me ).As well as 2 other players (hint to footy club contact me).

Although they have already secured a ruckman and a couple of key position players, I hear a little whisper that the Roosters are quite keen on the services of Mr Johns and are in negotiations with the former Bomber ???

BP - Johns in addition to already signing White and Ackland plus two others, before the draft has even occurred?

I feel a little sorry for Tom Couch. After an inauspicious start to his Eagle career in a trial match at Richmond Oval which was pointed out to me by Dick the league umpire today, I began to appreciate some of his skills and enjoyed watching him play, but as I have previously posted, the reduction to three teams at league clubs will inevitability cause heartache. I feel Tom's main problem was lack of pace and for the positions he played this was a crucial minus. What will most probably be said at the club is "we have a lot of his type" an expression that is too often trotted out.

Courtney Johns would be a very good acquisition at any SANFL league club...

He would have been a team mate of Paul Thomas when at Essendon, so perhaps the Dogs might be speaking to the big man with Luke Cowan retiring ?
