Theres talk he might be re-drafted this year, as hes over his injuries by the looks of it.

Where is this Markovic from and what type of player is he ???

193cm key defender, originally from Box Hill. 22 at the start of next year. Good mark, good skills. Was the no.2 pick in the 2005 Rookie draft, but broke his leg in a final in 2006. Took him a long time to recover.

Thanks Macca...

Markovic is as Macca said a genuine Key position player (not a stick either) who is very good overhead, solid at ground level. Hard at the body and the ball. Composed when he has the ball and has solid skills. Probably lacks a bit of pace for AFL football but should dominate state leagues in about 2 years time.

His story goes something like this. Played TAC in 2005 and did his ankle in a final which saw his foot pointing 90 degrees to the side. He was rookie listed by Hawthorn, took a long time to get over the ankle, started to get going half way through 2006 and but his best mate then died and he did not handle it well (no surprise) and basically struggled to commit to football what is needed for AFL football. 2007 no longer on the rookie list and went through the motions playing a mixture of reserves and seniors. 2008 apparently he switched back on and a lot of Hawthorn supporters rate him after he played the whole year in the seniors for box hill (note this is all heresay) other than the only time I have seen him play was the day he did his ankle and he looked as though he could be anything.

How many times does it have to be said that TOM COUCH was not a TARGETTED RECRUIT. He wanted to leave Victoria so the Eagles gave him an opportunity. The Eagles use one of the CROWS recruiting staff located in Melbourne to advise on possible recruits.

If Acklands attitude at North matches his one at Carlton he'll be the biggest liability a club could want.

Mate, I support Carlton and the Bullants in the VFL. I've seen & heard enough of Ackland in the past couple of years to work him out. I hope he has a good year with the Cocks, but as I said, if his attitude is where it was at for the Blues, good luck.....

There is an interesting little rumour floating around that Daniel Healy is trying to poach a few Centrals players out to Prospect Oval for season 2009...

I guess that is to be expected considering the strength of the Dogs and of course the background Heals has. I did hear a whisper that Luke Barmby (promising Centrals reserve lad) was being chased by Heals to come to North but the more league experienced names I read where Adam Switala and Scott Dutschke. I'm suprised with Switala considering he will probably be in his last year if league footy in 2009 but can certainly understand wanting a tough nut, hard in and under player like Scotty Dutch...

It will be interesting to see if the already lengthy list of players that have gone from Central to North continues on once season 2009 get's underway ?
