I get very frustrated watching him, he does jag the odd lbw by putting every 95th delivery on the stumps and catches the batsman by surprise.

Like it or not though boys, he's been getting the break throughs the Aussies have needed.

He hasn't got the ball that straightens to trap the R/H batsmen LBW IMO. If he was able to straighten the ball more regurlarly with a little bit tighter control he could become a very good bowler in the next few years.

Maybe it's time for Australia to suck it up and play backs to the wall cricket for a change. For too long we have been champions of the world in all formats of the game and have been able to play like it.
Now it's time for the ozzies to re-evaluate how we play cricket and not throw our wickets away and bowl the lines.

Yes Mitchell Johnson has the best average and the most wickets but i reckon 5 of those wickets came from catches down legside. If that is what you guys think is quality, we are in for a very long haul as a cricketing nation.

I think we'll do well at home, unlike the eighties when we couldn't win anywhere. Now that truly was 'the long haul'.

Well he has not only conceded over 200 runs but he has 5 wickets as well. Only 3 runs from equalling the record now so that looks a given. Imagine if he takes the last 3 wickets as well (not that unlikely, he looks like the only bowler who is capapble of it). Could end up with an 8 wicket haul and the record for most runs conceded on debut. Now that would be a great trivia question
