Simon Katich does not get the recognition he deserves. He's a super player who is so reliable. Not the most fashionable cricketer but he gets the job done. Hope he converts this into a big hundred.

5 run penalty, thanks to Dhoni missing it and taking a deflection off his boot into the helmet.

Well done Krezja, we would've been screwed without him!

I personally think Katich is better than Jaques, i hope he can go on and score a ton! :)

Probably there have been more in the past 15 or so years, because of wicketkeepers wearing helmets more. The MCG, they had a hole in the ground which helmets could be stored, I wonder if it's still there.

You'd think that they would, Adelaide still has one, the hole usually has a couple of new balls and a couple other things as well.

A lot of grounds used to have those both in first class venues and even suburban grounds. They are the sprinkler system boxes. Most have disappeared from first class venues with better irrigation technology introduced.

He is better than Jaques. Easily too. Ugly to watch yes but very very effective.

I'll bet a OH&S issue arose out of those boxes, an ankle injury on one of them no doubt.

If that's in an innings (debut or not) Leslie Fleetwood-Smith holds that record - something like 4/298.

Probably the best knock I've ever seen from Katich. He deserves a ton.
