PS...COUGAR I'll post wherever I like...as mentioned, played Hills central and know this league is easily poorer than that.

Anything set in stone for players next year!?!

id say its more than a rumour but not set in stone.

coach princi at myponga apparently has 37000 to play with for recruiting and guitinks name has been floated around along with barrat, clarke, david stevens from flagstaff, ward, cooney and willis. looking at 250-300 a game for being a cheeky mudlark.... sources are good on this one!

Surely not Brendan Ward?? I hear he struggles for a game in Kangys B grade! 1250 Express, why would Princi recruit B graders like Ward and Clarke, when the GSFL is arguarbly a better competition than Hills country? And Dave Stevens will stay will the Bushpigs after turning down a pretty lucrative offer from Princi last year.

why? because theyre bottom 4 in GSFL and cant coax an a grade player a club that loses consistently... offering b graders from the top sides in surrounding leagues garunteed a grade games is their way of rebuilding...

didnt they both play a's at flaggtaff at one point? couldnt see the falcons being competitive in either of those leagues anyway

Think they played mainly B grade 1250. That's why they took off! And the Bushpigs would be very competitive, especially in Hills country. But you wont see it, they wont have a cry and jump ship to an easier league!

oh please...Flaggies are kidding themselves aren't they?

the most arrogant bunch of underacheivers going around...

Kangies have smashed them in two trial games over the last three years and they still consider themselves to be better than everyone.

they wouldnt have made the finals in Hills Country!

No worries Boozehound. Looks like Brad Pearce, Brett James and Paul James will have their work cut out next season playing against Former Div 1 players from no less a club than Tea Tree Gully, when they suit up for Maccy Next year. I've spoken to them about it, and they're quaking in their boots at the prospect of playing against these ex Div 1 Footballers. And no you don't know much about Hills Country, as most other Hills Country teams would tell ya, when you play Kersbrook, the first bloke to tag is Brad Pearce.

I just heard that the Cally Eagles have got their act together and will continue. Apparently there was a huge turn-out yesterday and a very large committee elected. They have 2 or more in all their key positions except the Pres (only 1!). They are staying in the HFL. Will get more info today. Very good news for Eagles diehards.

Terminator did SJ coach these ex TTG blokes when he was in charge of their Under 17s some years ago? Is that how he got them to Maccy, well at least in contact with them.

SJ no doubt would have some contacts having being involved with many clubs. Walkerville, Gepps Cross, TTG, Hope Valley, Golden Grove, Birdwood, Angaston and now Maccelsfield. Will he be bringing any Birdwood blokes over the freeway?

if you count m.danielle as birdwood...than yes.. but then again gaza, kangarilla and angaston have just as big a claim on danielle as birdwood do..
apart from that.. i'd be surprised if there were any.

with kreig and a number of other quality recruits signed up the boys are pretty pumped for some wins, after a tough 2 years.

Good to see Birdwood having some luck (if thats the right word for it) on the recruiting scene, but with it appearing all the sides they would be competing with for a finals birth for also picking up some quality, i think finals may still be at least another year off over at Rooster land.

Michael Danielle has had nearly as many clubs as the Carr family & Tiger Woods put together
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

Word has it, there will be 'No' Pearce at Hope Valley next season. Dazzling Darryl may have secured the vacant Ingle Farm job. Can anyone confirm?

Our current coach is light years ahead of the previous coach we had.

You have a crack at me for APPARENTLY (you still haven't proved it) taking a cheap shot at SJ and you're on here dribbling little snipes at our current coach while still cowering behind YOUR keyboard. Pathetic!!

Good to see that Callington appear to have survived after their end seemed imminent. It's amazing what can happen when the reality of a situation is put to people.
Most players and the league (as far as rep footy goes) would be happy that there will still be a couple of byes next year.
Things seem reasonably quiet on the TV front but that probably means a couple of big signings are imminent. Is Brett Wakefield still on their radar?
