i think i may have even mentioned it on here sometime ago, but i rekon he is the most underrated player in the league. not saying no one rates him, just think he deserves more respect than he gets.

The Morphett Vale Football Club welcomed new club coach Lynton Bishop last night with a meet the coach night and are excited about the new era ahead. Some coaching positions for season 2009 still remain vacant and the club would like to hear from any persons interested in joining The Emus. With Lynton now on board and enthusiastic about the season ahead the deadline for applications has been extended to seek the correct applicants for each grade.

Fit early but burnt out late. Why start that early 'no pun intended'. Its been done time and time again in the past at various clubs with little success. Be interesting to hear how many numbers the wineflys get. Lets us know and I'll halve it that should give me an accurate number.

Postby GO THE PUNT » Sun Nov 09, 2008 12:09 pm

I got some mail last night regarding the Morphett Vale High School and wondering if anyone else has heard that it is closing down but not going to be demolished. Its going to be looked at being turned into a super primary school. Currently there are 3 primary schools in that area that kids numbers are low at so the plan is to combine the schools to form a super school. They want to use m/v high as the school as it already established with facillities. It is going to vote in the next few weeks. So this must put up many questions about the use of the oval by lonsdale footy club or its going to be fenced off and kept away as part of the school. So can anybody else say they have heard this and confirm.

Guy Elliott (Roopena - Whyalla Football League) and Chris Beaty (North Whyalla - Whyalla Football League) will be signed with Edwardstown in the coming week.

Both under 21, good consistent players. Should make regular appearances in the senior side.
