Grub, good bet last night. You're right, Dunn does not ride as well at the Valley as he does at other tracks. But also there's an inherent danger backing odds on favourites on a seven race card - and that is the significantly increased chance of a tie occurring.

My Jockey ratings points for today (as a guide 25 points equate to 1 jockey point):

Adelaide
Gundogdu 213
Lever 152
Price 148
Gatt 124
Herrmann 110

Melbourne
Williams 188 $2.40
McEvoy 148 $4.40
Rodd 148 $4.00
Dunn 124 $9.50

Sydney
Wells 168 $6.00
Bowman 152 $3.00
Shinn 140 $2.90
Ganderton 125 $9.00
Buckley 123 $17.00
Scholfield 113 $7.50

Brisbane
Byrne 187
Scriven 92
Pengelley 80

Perth
P.Harvey 208
Pike 168
Carbery 132
Whiting 129
Knuckey 123
Turner 121

Individual prefences need to come into this. If you like Wells as a jockey, he's currently $6. Otherwise my suggestion is to leave Sydney alone and back the top rater in each of the other States. Maybe some all ups are in order. I have only seen Melb and Syd markets.

Thanks,

Gundogdu/Williams double may be the go. Byrne and Harvey will probably be unbackable, although adding Byrne in an all up should be no risk... famous last words!

They've backed Rodd - $4.00 into $3.10. I still like the Gundogdu $2.40/Williams $2.60 double. Over 5/1 is good value... and if Byrne's $1.25, throw him into an all up...

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could post a tally of the Jockey Challenge points for Melbourne today. Im stuck at work and this is the only website my boss gives me free reign to look at. Also can't pick up a radio reception in the building, like i said it would be greatly appreciated.

Amazing Williams, Byrne and Harvey didn't ride a winner between them. I have to cofess I haven't been foolowing the Brisbane and Perth form of late, so don't know which jockeys are currently "in form". $1.10 Byrne was skinny ( I saw $1.12) but he should have won.

Doubleson McEvoy would have paid handsome dividends.
