Any other good signings from them, I hear they have been extremely busy. Will make for a good start in 09 I imagine.

No not at all RF they have spoke to him as he has a close relationship with Golding and they should get in a que as Shanes phone runs hot this time of year.
But take it from me Shane will be back bigger and fitter than ever in 09 for the Shoe. Also he is close to his life membership at the club also.

comer has signed with townies

A couple of big comments on here have sort of slipped thru in the last few days:

Scott McKenzie apparently having a year off - as Happy Valley seem to be completely oblivious to the WWW, does anyone else know if theres any truth in this? Devastating for Valley if true.

Comer signed with the Towns - Shoe Boy is this true?

You are right about McKenzie...a huge blow for Happy Valley if he is not available.
If Comer leaves the Shoes at least the grass in the Square will have a chance of growing

I've heard Flaggies have recruited a Ruckman/Key Defender from GSFL, who previously played some good A grade footy with one of the SFL power clubs. Any news on that Mattee G.

Comer leaving is always a yearly rumour. May have eventuated due to the fact he was close to playing for them last year before Mitts pulled the pin on Edwardstown. He's got he easy down at the Shoes, so doubt he'll leave.

Will be handy at a young side like Flaggies think they need someone with a bit of confidence and strength, cos Saul Abbotts pretend tough routine just doesnt work.
