Harness Hits for Mooney Valley Tonight.....

Postby Dan Patch » Fri Jul 21, 2006 11:02 am

In what is just an OK meeting in Victoria tonight, here are my specials; with my estimate of odds available to you;

race-1...no.5 Parwan Rocket $15........While he is up against some picket fence form, I think he is a great each way bet, especially if he finds the lead, which I think will happen.

race-4...no.8 The Protector $5......With a ton of speed on the front line, he will only need a bit of luck in the run to prove very hard to beat in this sprint race. Watch for him to finish over the top of them.

race-5...no.5 B H Cullen $2.20......Will lead, will dictate terms, will simply be too good. Best bet for the night.

race-6...no.7 Lislight $5...... From the Manning camp, he had a terrible run earlier this season. Went for a spell, and came back with a big win last Saturday at Ballarat. Word is, that he is back, bigger and better than ever.

race-7...no.3 Hei Heir $9......In a field of ten main chances, he appeals on an each way basis, as a horse who deserves to win one of these Championship finals. Is alkways around the place, will give you a run for your money, and with any luck, can salute.

Thats it for tonight, but Saturday night sees the return of that champion, Blacks a Fake, in Qld, and Adelaide gets itself two very good 2-y-o finals, each worth $50,000, at Globe Derby Park.

Good Luck, and Good Punting.

United we stand is my mates Value Bet for the night at the valley.... while I conceed BH Cullen deserves to be the top pick there is a school of thought that UWS can finish over the top if he can be no worse than 3 back the running line and doesnt have to come too wide with his run.
Lislight wont get it that easy tonight tho DP..... the jury is out on this one!

To mal & another grub,

Let's admit the obvious, favourites win a lot of Harness races, and when a good thing goes around, almost any price is worthwhile. The Valley races tend to have a lot of value in them, due to the depth of horses in their pool. Hopefully, this will give us some nice prices, only time and results will tell.

As for United We Stand, hasn't his form improved since he has gone to the Alford stable, and they have decided to teach him to sit and sprint. Hopefully, tonight he will fail to pick up B H Cullen. I'm talking through my pocket, but that is a punters right (to a point).

Thanks for the feedback.

DP-
Very average selection in the 1st, but more than made up for it with The Protector! Well done! Paying $6.10.
Unfortunately, I was blowing my own trumpet on another web site, & only caught the result.
Keep 'em coming.

sorry about last night PR... had a few too many (paying for it now) and should have finished up instead of down for the night.... very frustrating!!
My mates 2 HP tips were both not suited in their races but his Bathurst tip won @ $3.60..... so for the 3 bets you would have been up.

Results for Friday night at the valley go like this;

1...Parwan Valley, worked too hard to get the lead. Gone on the home turn. Ran Last, lost my money.

2...The Protector, got the right run, sprint laned, and just got there.Paid $6.10 & $1.60. I've got ammunition.

3...B H Cullen,led, dictated, won easing up. Short but sweet. Paid $1.60 & $1.20. Best Bet wins. Need another win.

4...Lislight, ran a fantastic race, but beaten by an even better effort from Captain Kalahari. Ran second. Pays $2.60 for the place. What a bonus. Think my luck has come to an end.

5...Hei Heir, who does need luck, got none. Trapped in the death, ran OK....but was well beaten. Pay to follow.

6...Made a Profit on the night......I trust someone else made a few dollars along the way. More to follow..........
