having seen alot of both leagues i would say that the RMFL is way above div 4 as far as overall quality goes.

i would say that the "big 3" in the RMFL (ramblers, imp and the jervois panthers  ) would demolish any team in div for by 10-20goals. i know some of you will laugh at this but you look at this years pre-season ramblers played PNU (div2??) in a trial game and beat them by 20goal. no i realise its a trial and PNU were middle of the raod but thats the comparison ill go by.

also talking to Dags (james dalwood) during the year he noted that the RMFL is easily above div but noted that the top 10players in rmfl clubs make it that way and that in general div 4 clubs are more even over the board. but then again some of those clubs mentioned before spend alot of cash! compared to what any div 4 team pays even cashhaven!

Thanks for that was just thinking of having a run and having only ever seen and played RMFL I was a bit worried about the standard.

surely they dont pay mroe then cash haven???
havens have the same salary cap as Carlton!

haha well jervois from what i know pay around 10blokes rangeing from 200-500 a game and thats not including the coach (sam mahoney) who would be on a bit as hes a freak!

and imps are not far behind prob pay 5-10 blokes about 200-400 a game i would think

Everyone takes offence to being accused of having biased B grade umpires... but a sad fact of life is that all club umpires will show a little bias at some time or rather.

So if anyone is going to accuse another club of having cheating umpires, be prepared to cop it back and don't get precious about it... :?

I am an old CBC boy and seeing the Great Man coaching them made me think of coming and having a run. Used to play for Imps yes, has been a couple of years though so not in the greatest physical fitness. Imps have always been my love and all my mates are there so would be hard to leave but with Jars there I thought why not. He was one of my heroes when he played at NA.

Thats not what i said, i DONT take offence to people saying our umpire, or anyone elses, is bias at times (which i dont think he is, by the way).

I DO take offence to someone saying the reason we make the top 5 is because we cheated.

2 entirely different things...

I am not affected by ignorance, The truth is that our first 18 was as good as anyones, however our depth was ordinary.
The teams we beat last year included PAOC, Northaven, Pooraka.
We also had mitcham on toast until some dubious free kicks went against us in the last quarter.
New Coach, new players new system = more depth = stronger CBC in 2009.

Unable to confirm or deny any recruiting has taken place, we don't have players sign contracts for us, so confirmation will happen through our preseason. I have certainly heard a lot, but am not at liberty to discuss at this stage.

The good thing is that the loss of players looks to have been kept to a minimum, and the return of past players and school members appears to be quite large.
