What I have to say about todays' match at Unley

Postby spell_check » Sat Jul 22, 2006 7:03 pm

-31. 7 (193) is the highest score of the season.
-The highest score since Round 1 2003 - 32.5 by Central vs North
-2nd highest score ever for Eagles - 30.14 vs North 14.15 Rd 5 1994
-The first time Eagles has kicked 31 goals in a match
-Highest ever score by Eagles against Sturt - previous 27.12 vs 8.8 Rd 19 1991
-Highest ever score against Sturt at Unley - previous 27.15 by Glenelg in Rd 14 1984
-10. 4 (64) is the highest 4th quarter score by Eagles vs Sturt, previous 9.6 v 0.2 Round 22 1994
-Eagles biggest winning margin against Sturt - 119 points, previous 118 in the Rd 19 1991 match
-This is the first time in the SANFL that a team has scored exactly 31.7 in a match
-Eagles most accurate score against Sturt with scoring shots over 15 - 81.58%
-The first time an Eagles player has scored 10 goals against Sturt, by Mark Passador. Previous highest was 8.4 by Scott Morphett in the Rd 19 1991 match
-It is a personal best by Mark Passador and the 5th time an Eagles player has kicked 10 in a match
-Eagles kicked 24 more goals than behinds - the fourth highest ever by any team.
-Only two players have kicked more goals against Sturt at Unley in a match - Ken Farmer 13.2 in Rd 17 1935 and Stephen Copping 11.6 Rd 16 1984
-Eagles kicked 17.6 (108) after half time - the most anyone has kicked against Sturt after half time at Unley
-It is the most that Eagles have kicked in a half against Sturt
-It is the 2nd highest 2nd half score by Eagles against anyone, highest is 16.14 vs Glenelg 4.5 Rd 11 1994
-The combined total 42.15 (267) is the biggest match aggregate ever between the two clubs

It is a pity we slacked off in the 2nd quarter, missed a chance to score 200.

P.S. 6 goals is a personal best for David Westbrook, previously he has kicked 4 goals twice this year. 5 goals is a personal best for Adam Grocke (as an Eagles player) as well. He kicked 4 last week.

Also Passador becomes the third highest goal scorer for the Eagles (188 goals), he moved past Chris Kluzek - 182. Scott Morphett kicked 290 and Andrew Taylor 219.

P.P.S Sturt kicked 6.3 (39) in the 2nd quarter which is a club record against Eagles in that quarter, previous was 5.4 (34) in Round 4 1994.

Nothing to do with AFL listed players, I mean we could do with ... [insert any of our 8 AFL players here - less than wot u have but hey theyd make a difference] ... etc every week, simple fact that we are rebuilding with several new juniors and your 12th-18th best players sh*t on ours (for now).

Where were you when we were good in 2002? Where were you when we were sh*t ?

Losing to the dogs lalalala losing to the dogs lala :)

My point about the Crows players was made because low teams always say we have to use Crows players to win and most of the crows players started as eagles just like your sturt afl players.
And rebuilding is a great term something the eagles could say re all the juniors we played yesterday like fiarclough and Slater.
Oh we were kicking your butt when you were shit mate and I was watching us do it as well :D
does the name Merv Keane as a coach ring a blue bell

We just cant beat the hybrids plain and simple !!!

Even when we were sittin in the top five and even top we would always lose to them.

Got spanked and we are sittin down the bottom cause that is where the club is at for the moment - moved on to next week already and knowin that we are playing our juniors at league level will set us in good stead for the future.
It is what it is !!!
