Interesting to note, Jamie How has not faced Brett Lee today, Ryder has faced every ball from Lee.

When is punter going to give Mitch a bowl? A bowling change is just the ticket here. Can't let the Kiwis get comfortable at any stage of this innings. Vettori used his bowlers brilliantly yesterday and looks the better tactician already.

Sounds like any one of half a dozen redbacks at the minute. Scared shitless and it's nothing to do with the opposition....

Not really, he just bowled about 3 bounces last over.

I think it's time for a bowling change, the NZ batsmen look really comfortable.

HOWzat. Good thing hearts and I aren't in charge LOL. IIRC This Taylor bloke doesn't play the short stuff all that well? The arm bands are mourning the loss of our aura of invincibility.

With NSW's position at the foot of the shield ladder, I like REB's theory that they're mourning the loss of the aura of invincibility.

the arm bands are for Peter Forrest's dad who passed away yesterday i think. peter forrest is the current number 3 batsman at the moment for NSW and hence why only the NSW players are wearing them, altho i would think the entire side should wear them!

I would've thought Ponting learnt his lesson about bowling part timers yet he brings Watto on first change

If Ponting doesn't bring Johnson on from the other end next over, he is ****** in the head.

FFS HE IS SHITHOUSE

17.5 Watson to Taylor, FOUR
17.4 Watson to Ryder, 3 runs, cuts another wide delivery outside off and he mistimes it a bit but beats the slips cordon, Hussey and Symonds do the chasing
17.3 Watson to Ryder, FOUR, too wide outside off and short enough for him to slash with control, he stays balanced at the crease and cuts hard past Symonds cover point, there's nobody in the deep
17.2 Watson to Ryder, no run, pitches on middle and goes through straight, he softly tucks it to midwicket
17.1 Watson to Ryder, no run, pitches it around the middle stump and gets good away movement, he shoulders arms
Watson replaces Clark, two slips in place

Great move spud.
