The North player remonstrated and the umpire (and I quote as I have it on tape) : "You've just lost your 50".
Can an umpire give a 50 metre penalty and then take it away while leaving the original player with the free kick???
I'd be very interested on some officials ruling on this one.

If Drebins version is correct (behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards and umpire (15.5), Port should have been paid a freekick at the mark where the original free kick was awarded.....
Bloody umpires always favour North......Still remember that atrocious charging free kick that wasn't paid at the BAy in 95 when Jonny Symonds took the mark in the 3rd quarter and Jefferies (i think it was) charged into him in what seemed to be the 4th quarter (so late it was) Timmy Kowal...Play on.....hence may alter ego circled the umpires at 3 quarter time just looking at them........

I can't remember the year but i remember being at the Bay and a very angry "gentleman" had been screaming all day from the granstand at the umpires. 3/4 time came and the "gentleman" charged down the stairs still shouting and charged onto the ground where he proceeded to stand on the edge of the centre square and continue and absolute tirade of abuse at the men in white. Made a bit of a goose of himself. Wasn't you was it 1980TM? I think the incident i was refering to was more likely around 1998 or 99 though so unlikely.

It was in 2003 whilst under the reign of David Noble.
I know I stood there and laughed as he had rant and rave.
