The wraps on Melpark Major are fully warranted BUT where is he going to settle in the run.
Drawn out in the car park, surely they will have to go back and then be 3 wide for a long way when the speed will be hot. If he gets cover 3 wide then maybe ????

Lance Justice made the stupid mistake by handing up to Blackie in the Inter final and gave the race to it on a platter!!
Blacks a fake isnt immortal, Safari and Robin Hood have already proven that and if anyone wants to see an action packed Miracle Mile for once instead of the boring crap they serve up, everyone should be hoping the one burns out and holds the lead.
Just my thoughts anyway, goodluck.

Thats fair enough, BUT when was the last time a horse led with Blacks a Fake sitting outside of them and they actually WON let alone finish in front of him?
If you were an owner of Special Albert, would you rather drive for $50-100k for finishing 2nd or 3rd or get F.All for entertaining the crowd by freewheeling in front until the last 300m?
Then again, Special Albert may not be able to hold the lead anyway?

Superfecta was the 1st 6 in order over the line.
Miracle mile has 8 runners.

Ya couldn't miss ???? :? :? ahh of course, box the field with a Flexi. doesn't meen ya make a profit tho.

Didn't the Gleesons get banned from NSW harness racing years ago for rigging the result of a Superfecta race at HP one meeting by pulling up the $1.10 fave. Apparently it was found out that Gleeson had Boxed the field for the superfecta but left out the $1.10 fave (his drive) and surprise surprise his horse was pulled up with broken gear or something.
I think the superfecta was dispensed with not long after that.

gleeson got banned from australian harness racing by the nsw 'hierachy', the broken gear was proven to have been deliberately cut by a knife (or similar) through forensics & the name of the horse i'm sure was 'coloresque'....i think his sister tess just gave the game away after chris' suspension but i stand corrected

HARNESS RACING
Chris Gleeson Superfecta

Stingers: A brother and friend of leading Sydney harness racing trainer/driver Chris Gleeson and, allegedly, Gleeson himself.
Stingees: Punters across NSW, who had next to no hope of winning the Superfecta when the short-priced favourite was withdrawn mid-race due to gear failure.
How it unfolded: This is the story of a golden-haired boy gone wrong, egged on by the foolishness of others and perhaps by himself. Gleeson was a good-looking blond kid who grew up among surfies on Sydney’s northern beaches. After a chance encounter with a local harness racing trainer, he took up the sport and by the early ’90s had rocketed to prominence as Sydney’s leading trainer/driver.
Gleeson didn’t have the cleanest record; over the course of his 12-year career, between the ages of 19 and 31, he appeared before the stewards a massive 271 times. But most of those charges – give or take a couple of positive swabs that earned him bans – can be put down to overly aggressive driving.
But at Sydney’s famous Harold Park Paceway one evening in November ’95, Gleeson committed an act that was to earn the ultimate stewards’ penalty – a life ban. Gleeson was driving the short-priced favourite Coloresque in a race where punters could bet on the Superfecta – a now defunct bet type where punters had to pick the first six finishers in order in a single race. Naturally enough, any sane punter would include Coloresque in their Superfecta combinations. Heck – it was likely to win the race by 10 lengths. But Gleeson’s brother Matt and friend Paul Skinner did exactly the opposite. They bet on every possible Superfecta combination that didn’t include Coloresque – and duly collected when Coloresque failed to finish after its hopples snapped. Hopples are the straps that hold a pacer’s legs in place, and stewards found they’d been cut to the point where they were bound to fail during the race.
How much they won: Matt Gleeson and Paul Skinner outlaid just over $10,000 and pocketed a $12,000 profit when Coloresque failed to finish the race.
The aftermath: There’s an element of Schapelle Corby in this case, in that while history records Chris Gleeson as guilty, there will always be a slight suggestion that those around him plotted their scheme without his knowledge. Gleeson later returned to plumbing, which he’d studied as an apprentice before getting into harness racing. In 2000, he claimed to be earning half his track income. We assume he means half his legitimate income.
The quote: “I guess nobody will ever know the true story. My brother and the other guy’s actions were carried out separately, yet the stewards tied us all in together. In my opinion, the real crooks are the people who put the knife into me and bagged me.” – Chris Gleeson.

2 hours ago i would have completely disagreed.. that the 1 was going to lead..

After watching the interviews.. there is no doubt in my mind the 1 is handing up to Blacky..
$2.00 the offered earlier today is gone.. the champ won't get beat though!

In the exacta i'm taking 2 / 1,5,7 and i will be risking the 10..
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

well i was wrong i heard what dawson said about not handing up but when your running for $75 g's for 2nd & $50 g's for 3rd with the silly hope of winning 300 large i thought he'd hand up, he didn't & where did he run ? blacks a fake didn't go well (to his standards) though, a great drive won the race

All the talk leading up to the race was that NO ONE would want to trail Special Albert.
M.Rolfe had 1st opportunity to trail S.A. but didn't allowing P.Rixon on Divisive to take the trail. The rest is history. Divisive gets the run of the race and WINS whilst Iron Hudge gets held up and Flashes home for an unlucky 4th
