Those two fellas will go walkabout halfway through the season.

Apparently players at kangarilla are not just leaving because smelty is throwing the cash at them a few players have been told to leave the club because of other factors! interesting I would trying to keep every player at the club if there is goin to be a mass exodus of the club as reported! maybe some of the boys could clarify this 1250 ex, brag, once was, eb pie?????

I would also think so too,

Heard there is a lot of players exiting for a number of different reasons from last years combined squads could be upto 22 by my calcs (8 already confirmed!)

Smelt ,Quist, Barret, J & D Jackson, Guitnik, Houston, Hahn.could list more but in due time. but will just stay with the confirmed for the moment.

lets hope there can be some negotiations done to try and prevent this happening.
nobody wants to see sides/clubs struggle!

somewhat true...

from 2009 onwards the club has brought in a drug policy which all players must sign and abide by after some inappropriate behavior at club functions by some individuals last season.

NO player was asked/told to leave but ALL players were told that if they did not sign the policy they would not be playing at the club.

positive and firm zero tolerance stance. the club has offered to help players with some social behavioral issues but those players seem intent on avoiding the issue rather then tackling it head on.

in general the club is accepting of these players to leave if they will not follow club rules. they are about developing good juniors and a family oriented club.

the outs will not bother kangy to much. nothing like the exodus oncewasaplayer and others who have left are making it out to be!

5-6 quality a grade players already signed on and a few more coming back to kangy after absences for work etc

Yes we at Kersbrook found it quite humerous the great man forked out 6 figures to finish 'Runners up' this season. Must be a good hobbie to have.

How is GH good for the comp. Forces the weaker clubs like Gums, Cally and Maccy to fork out coin just to be competitive nearly putting these clubs to instinction, and when GH has 'had enough' of TV, they are a huge chance of folding too. He might have made Div 2 Hills stronger but NOT healthier.

Surely the one I heard on the weekend isn't true in that they are chasing Jeremy Clayton. Couldn't happen could it?

Nothing would surprise those who have watched GH rort the 'toothless' salary cap for years. What makes people think he's ever going to cease his own agenda which appears to be to ruin the credibility of clubs and players in the quest for a premiership.

He must have a big hold on the directors of the HFL or someone up there, they appear quite reluctant to make a challenge on his creative accounting.
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

Was talking 2 Damian Cupido yesterday at cricket and asked him about where he is playing footy next year he said that he was still playing for westies, but Kapunda was offering him 1800 a game and a Hills country club was offering him a fair sum as well. I am assuming that club would be TV?

Rumour has it Langhorne Creek offered him $1500 a game in their centenary year. Can anyone confirm or deny?

beleive what you want 1250

would not post any of these statements without talking to most of the alleged 22 after all they are good friends of mine and im just posting what ive heard from majority of them!

not all are going to other clubs either some just dont want to play at all! :(

i have a list here that i know about and you are quite welcome to arrange to see it

also noted some are full of piss and wind and may stay

but at the moment from what ive heard it will bother and hurt very much IMO (only time will tell.) any players leaving hurts clubs espeicially if the club doesnt and cant pay to replace these players (remember no one gets paid at kangy!) and 8 confirmed out of 55+/- players

like to hear about the returning players and any "ins" to back up your claim!

I like others had heard they'd secured the services of Mark for next season, but also heard on the weekend they were chasing Jeremy. Hard to believe considering he's one of the best (If not the best) in the SANFL. Then again it is TV!

I think the so called "exodus" is alot more wind than anything. We do have some players that have been around for a while now moving on but that's footy.

At least were not doing what Meadows are doing and recruiting old men who will cost more to get taped each week than anything else, nothing can be as bad as that.

I do not doubt that GH would have the audacity to call him. However i would say Jeremy Clayton would be getting paid more a Port Adelaide than TV could offer him anyway.

its ok JJ...

i know this list of players you speak of and could probably name the majority of the 22 also. however i think alot of it is empty threats and the majority will stay because of the CBF factor.

couldnt name the players if i wanted to. dont know their names. know theres a few from strath and langhornes, maybe 1 or 2 from the yorke peninsula league, some disgruntled edwardstown players and possibly an former south adelaide reserves b&f player who's only 22.

rememebr that kangy have lost a grade players every year since entering the HFL and have picked up replacements. last year they lost butron, ewens and guitink, arguably the best ruck, defender/mid and forward at the club from 07. add to those leaving last year were griffo, yates, chad treloar and wallfried. kenner did his knee round 1. thats 8 last year plus b graders dropping out of the squad.

the year before it was michael daniel, scott morcom, james bailey-hill and nathan stevens etc.

its part of the natural growth of the club. you gain some and lose some. the only difference this time is there a what you might call stalwarts such as yourself and long term prospects such as guitink and quist going.

as i recall plenty of people were writing them off at the end of the 07 season when the 8 mentioned above departed.

while the current climate isnt ideal its not gloomy yet

you're still my favourite player to wear the number 7!

at a stab id say their friendly but not friends.

their relationship seems to be a means to an end and they put up with eachother because both parties get what they want.

as long as theres money and hope for success they'll agree to disagree
