HrBuff & Stuff, first ive heard about Tangles i must say so i guess its untrue. As for the Big O, man that guy can bowl some long spells, such a huge heart. Are you still using the kids size bat when you play? I often have a laugh about that. Carey, come say G'day to the guys, who knows they may entice you to dust off the spikes.

Also I will razz Howie up about the score card. In reality though he is a very modest individual.

I ended up leaving because the club stopped going back to the village tavern and went to billy baxters!!!!!. Always got to have a few beers after the game. Croydon and the Leg trap were good at that

Billy Baxters - what the hell? At the moment its back to the Modbury ICA for a few bevvies after a game. Most of the young fellas with too much energy take to the courts though to try to kill each other.

Yeah we used to go back there before we went to turf, When we won the D2 PDCA flag it was back there to drink. Ask Howie about Billy Baxters

mattsy wrote:i believe the Pidge does possess a mean reverse sweep. Not yet Pietersen like but he assures me its a work in progress and like his batting will get there. Im also led to believe there is another Grossy at Fitzroy. Whilst nothing can compare to the original Grossy Im reliably informed the latest model goes well enough at this stage. I doubt though that he wears his thongs when batting in the nets ala the original.

Reverse Sweeps are only played in certain circumstances.

1. To annoy bowlers in the nets
2. To annoy bowlers in the game

This guy is a Gross-man. He is the real deal. Promising future as a top 6 A Grade batsman.

Mattsy was a fair player in his own right. Loves flicking the ball off his pads. Bludgeoned attacks around easily in his hay-day.

I love that guys consistency to land the ball in the same spot over and over. I miss playing with him but dream of a return to action with him some time soon.

Not sure about that, I got an email and he has been cleared to Western IX Knights

Golden Groves Cricket Club Presentation Areas:

1: Billy Baxters
2: The tin shed around there. Build club rooms and stop wasting money on no-good footballers
3: Modbury ICA
4: What next.. TTG Council Chambers?

Not sure i blame you though as i had some hairy moments facing him in the nets over the years. A real talent that boy and one who can turn a game with bat or ball in a very short time. Hes still very young and i hope he returns full time to the field one day. Well just as long as i dont have to face him that is.

LOL! Who are you!!! How'd you know that.. I can confirm that whilst playing under 16s(Broadview) against Maysy he was not allowed to bowl his fastest or they would no-ball him.. He was freaky fast for his age thats for sure and could bat.. Still can do both barring soreness.. Im not sure people believe me when I tell them how quick he was..
A winner never quits and a quitter never wins.. So who came up with the saying quit while your ahead.

Your still a chance. Deep Square leg for M. Feltus bowl short, R. Vanderwerf only has straight drives, A. Ashley is slow but same as Vanderwerf, if you snag them early they will crumble ;)
