Imperious is the word to describe Rhino when he's in a batting mood.
Dismissive even.

Been a very long time methinks. He would've enjoyed it I reckon.

I knew you weren't implying that CN. Some have implied that we have stacked the team, which is a bit rich. Yeah, I think he enjoyed it. Could have quite easily been out first ball from what I hear, which would have been a good laugh for everyone.

I hear players from both sides were keen to play, but the umpires deemed the pitch unplayable NS?
Shame for Berri. Hardly played this year due to the weather. Must be getting frustrating.

Here's a run down on Berri's frustrating season so far: Berri have had to endure a forfeit, two washed out matches, two byes and a week off for the association match at Broken Hill. They have only played three matches from eight weeks of programmed games, resulting in 3 wins (one on forfeit), 2 draws and a loss and they last took to the field on November 22nd and before that on November 1st.

I think Waikerie-Ramco's on top now after last week's win.
Followed by Berri, Monash, Loxton and Renmark.

We went down by 6 wickets to an under strength Monash side on the weekend at home.

Bowled out for 104 after 44 overs (slow going) and Monash got em pretty easy.

We batted first with a damp outfield and that explains a bit about the low score, but Monash's bowling was pretty tight also.

Yeah, both teams were kitted up in their whites arter waiting for half an hour for it to start, the coin had been tossed and we thought we were about ready to get underway. It ended up being quite comical after that as we kept waiting, the Waikerie boys kicking the soccer ball and the Berri boys kicking the footy, even doing some circle work at one stage.

I guess when the umpire is also the curator you sometimes have a decision that is not as straight forward as saying the pitch is playable, let's go. I can see where he was coming from and we can't complain as it is not our pitch, but I have played on many worse pitches before. Very frustrating because as DW said we have only played 3 games.

Heard a rumour that Renmark have picked up two new players, one an A grade batsman from Woodville. True or false?

Not much chance of any cricket being played tomorrow by the look of it. We may as well take up lawn bowls the way things are going. We will play a maximum of 4 games before Christmas, assuming the final round gets underway.

Loxton Captain said he didn't get to the pitch in time this morning to get the covers down. "It doesn't look good" were his words. SHIT!

That is not sounding too promising SS, but I'm not surprised with the amount of rain we've had. One ml. was enough to keep us off last week. At the least the covers did go on though. Looks like Berri's season will have included a forfeit, three washouts, two byes and a break for the association game. 3 Saturday's on and 7 off since the start of the season.

Wait for the forecast next week. 42 degrees I reckon.

Berri got away with a win against Loxton on the hard wicket at Loxton. We were 6/82 before recovering to make 180 odd. Loxton all out for 114.

What is everyone's opinions on whether the hard wicket change up should be allowed? We have always been against it but will do it to keep up with the other teams on the ladder, especially as Waikerie were at home and surely would have played on hard wicket. Does anyone know the score of that game?
