I'll beg to disagree, when a team on similar points wins an unexpected big win I would think it would impact on you big time.

Only 4 or 5 days ago I said my calculations had Norwood, Glenelg and South all on the same amount of wins with % between them for 5th spot.
I would think an extra win to Norwood in that sort of estimation would be a huge "affect" to Glenelg. Common sense surely?? :?

Before anyone says its just sour grapes, in the 1st 1/4, North's back line was a rabble, Norwood had loose players every where, and for most of the day, North won more of the centre breaks, but couldn't get the ball past Norwoods wall at 1/2 forward, and North were lucky Norwood couldn't kick straight, they should have won by more, but that was the single worst umpiring effort I can remember.

I thought there were more soft free kicks given in the Eagles game today aswell compared to other games this season. Not favouring any side, but some of the decisions made today have not been given in previous weeks. Would rather not see so many soft ones paid.

Look mate, I have no issues with the umps today, yes we did seem to get killed by them, yes we only lost by 6 points BUT Norwood were at least a 6 goal better side today and deserved to win, when North made a late run I found myself hoping for a draw rather than a win as I didn't think we deserved to win.

In dodgy wet and windy conditions umpires favour the player playing in front, Norwoods attack, mid field and defence all played in front for the first 3 quarters today and hence the way the frees went.

Well deserved win by Norwood today, not only can they beat Norwood at Prospect unlike Glenelg they would have had a hell of a lot more than the 40 Bays supporters that rock up every year to Prospect. (Not that that would be hard as South have more fans rock up to Prospect than Glenelg)
I'll give something to Norwood and their fans, they're full of spirit and pride unlike the Bays and their fans.

If they are to pay the soft ones (and I with you, I'd rather they didn't) they should be consistant, but today, that consistancy would have given the game 80+ frees, not good for a spectacle.

"seem" is the important word there Ian.

My perspective of a game is far different to people that have an idea about the game, I have no idea!

Ian - Has Jars organised some bouncing the ball training for Matty Campbell, or is there a new rule in SANFL that lets you run a mile before you have to bounce or dispose of the pill?? OK, 43 is a bit rude, but you got at least one freebie today from the maggots. You blokes didn't turn up to play, that's what the real problem was.

Neither Glenelg or South are as good as Norwood from what i have seen of the 3 teams.

I'll have to disagree after seeing Glenelg 90 points in front of Norwood at half time about 4 weeks ago.

As i said, from what i've seen. You have seen much more of Glenelg, South and Norwood than me so i'll trust your judgement although as the other thread you started indicates, you have no idea

Read my post on the Roost (Rooster Talk- page 14)
I have never vented my spleen at an umpire, like I did today.

I'll agree with you on that one REB. One goal Campbell kicked he did run way too far.

PS:I'm normally pretty reserved when it comes to bagging the umps, but that was sh!t , a Norwood supporter near me had sore sides from laughing at some of the decisions Norwood were payed, but like I said earlier "North were lucky Norwood couldn't kick straight, they should have won by more"
